Sync - Secure cloud storage

Please stop re-inventing the wheel and use existing design guidelines, like iOS ones? /rant

I like features of Sync cloud and its app, but the app eats up memory on my iPhone during camera uploads. Tens of gigabytes get consumed every few weeks and the only way to clear them is to reinstall the app (clear cache button frees up only few hundred megabytes). Please, fix it, it is extremely crucial or at least open an API and I will make a workaround for self 😅

My eyes are burned 0_o Upload/download are slow as hell, file previews are slow as my grandmother decisions on a marketplace. Come on guys! Hire advance developers!

While trying to open word or excel files using Files app on iPhone you simply get the “Couldn’t communicate with a helper application” error and after that the list of files disappears. If you use Sync app externally it works fine

Cannot create a new folder to specify as sync folder for mobile photos, cannot navigate to subfolder to specify it - just like 2+ years ago, when I tried it last.

All my files are corrupted, can't export them, load them, make a link- anything. Huge waste of money, time, everything.

Update 2023-12-02 — With encrypted file systems comes interoperability issues. To save space on my hard drive I used the web interface to move the folders with several thousand photos into the vault. I thought after the website was finished that meant the move finished. I still left Sync a long time to complete its tasks. Well, on my phone and iPad, I check the vault and the photos folders are there, but the sub folders are empty. I’ll check back after I delete and reinstall the app. —— Free subscription up to 6GB but just pay them already! This is an amazing app that is great to use, especially if your requirements are to keep all information in servers on Canadian soil. Client-side encryption ensures that sync.com doesn’t review your sensitive data. But... encryption does slow down the transfer when opening files over the web. The developers have been awesome to respond when I need help, or if the app doesn’t work how I think it should. Also, the Vault is a great tool to offload old files that you really don’t need to keep synced on local machines. Note: Sharing a folder creates a random hash that is available on the web, and not a virtual web file path. This means you can’t use sync.com as a cheap web hosting option as you can with Dropbox.

I use it to backup my pictures. But I can't see pictures (700 kb so it's quite light). On my ipad I get the infinite waiting wheel that spins forever.
