TD Easy Trade

TD made this to just stay relevant in low commission investing. The app in itself is very basic and clunky. Not worth it even if it’s free cuz they have high transfer fee.

The app is too visually busy. You have to dig through menus to find the simplest things. Please make it easier to navigate 🙏

Too difficult . I prefer td direct investing. Som things don’t work on the app. I was trying to buy a stock and it didn’t work. I may switch back and pay the $10 trade fee.

First of all, it is annoying that TD only makes trades free if you use this app. Why not just do the same for the existing applications that work just fine? TD’s solution was to annoy customers and make them jump through hoops. Now after having TD’s operators suggest I sign up for the app and open new accounts, I go to the trouble to do so and find out the TD Easy Trade app doesn’t work! The issue is after logging in. A user is told to use Two Factor Authentication. Upon setting this up, I get the code, enter the code, and then I get this message: “While you were away, we ended your session.” It logs me out! I have attempted to set up Two Factor Authentication dozens of times. I spoke to 5 different tech support people. I deleted the app, updated my iPhone 14’s software, and tech support deleted my account and reinitialized it. Nothing worked. So far it has been a week. I am back to using the website because I am still waiting for tech support to get back to me with a solution. I would suggest you treat this app as a Beta version not ready for Prime Time. Epic fail! I am now nervous to trust my money on this app. Hopefully tech support gets back to me…waiting…waiting…waiting….

Confusing app would not recommend

I had TD investing accounts but was lured by the first 25 or 30 waived commission fee, so i decided to try it. 4 months went by and i still couldn’t transfer any money from my personal to easytrade. Finally called them up and forced a move from my TD Investing accounts to ET. Not only did it lock me out of all my TD Investing accounts, numerous calls to their helpline all promised to fix it call me back but to no avail. I’ve closed my investing accounts just so they don’t fine me for not holding the minimum, but now i cannot trade options or etfs no more. And I still have inaccessible relic investing accounts on my td bank app which they promised it would be removed the 2nd of the following month. It’s the 22nd of said month. This app and td are an absolute clown circus and anything but easy.

Cannot sign up. Birthdays before 2013 not allowed! Tried signing up in web browser but there it’s impossible to e-sign. CSR said to sign up using app instead.

First, wasn’t told about Easy Trade so ended up paying to buy TD ETFs on a self directed plan. Then found it hard to find and set up my Easy Trade account. Then, despite having multiple accounts at TD, had to get someone to transfer funds in. And today, on my TD app, can’t see the full amount of my Easy Trade balance. Where did it go? Not so “easy” Easy Trade.
