The app is poorly written and gives no guidance as to how to work the watch. I’m trying to do the firmware update it suggests but it just keeps looping. Very, very poor for a £1000 watch.
Cannot get app to upload activity data through to Strava. Watch a white elephant without this functionality
In London no one can help, after contacting customer service Tissot wants me to send the watch for 6 weeks to the service… What a nonsense…
I’ve tried for weeks now. I can’t even set the time on this watch because the app can’t find the phone. A total waste of time and money.
My app keeps missing my steps on my watch
Updated: The app is still poor - if you want an Apple Watch - go get one. I bought the watch because it is a great watch - I don’t much care about the app (see original review below). However, a recent firmware update to the watch now pesters me every few days by beeps and screen alerts to tell me to open the app on my phone. This is really annoying. Especially when it goes off in the middle of the night! I’m trying to work out if I can disable this on the watch. Some bright spark has thought it was a good idea to degrade the watch to solve the app problems by pestering you to open the app. This is a terrible solution. 3 star review downgraded to 1 star. Original review: The app features never really added much value for me - except counting steps, which isn’t a must-have. Since recent updates, capturing steps is sporadic at best. App recommends to keep the app open to get the best synchronisation with your phone, but this was never needed in the past - and goes against advice to keep optimal performance on your phone. So you need to decide: do you want optimal phone performance or track your steps? It’s a no brainer. Good watch - poor app.
I was really pleased when I bought my T touch solar. The amount of things that it can do was amazing. However my first watch I had to return as it wouldn’t connect to blue tooth . You kindly sent me a replacement and I then set it up fantastic all features functioning brilliant. A while later we changed our WiFi supplier . Because of this I lost the connection with the bluetooth with my watch. Eventually after watching you tube I managed to set my watch back up by logging out and going to factory settings. Excellent. Watch back up and working all except the compass . I cannot reset it I think I will Need to go back to factory settings to do this again to correct it everything else works fine as I said before I was really pleased when I got my T touch solar watch however these few problems have been a bit of a bug bare . I’m happy to give five stars the watch is unusual in what it can do I like the way it works with modern functions and old style hands. And modern electronics. Just feel a bit let down with it .
It’s the only app I know that you purposely need to drain your phone battery to maintain a connection with your watch needing to keep the app open even the background app refresh is on and all permissions on isn’t good enough for a 1k watch it’s still a paperweight on my desk until this is fixed this is a pity as best looking watch I’ve owned I received a developer response about battery drain I’m more concerned it’s the only app I know that requires it to be running on in the background why does the background app refresh not work the same as having the app running all the time it’s a pain getting warnings that it will not perform to its potential if not on all the time when it in fact is on all the time through background app refresh and all permission on all the time I have absolutely no faith in Tissot anymore so I will now where my Apple Watch until this is fixed
This is, quite simply, the biggest piece of garbage I have ever attempted to use within the Apple ecosystem! I have created an account on Tissot watches, and I can use it to successfully sign into their website. When I try to use this piece of junk, it tells me to allow app to use Bluetooth (done), then asks me to sign in before I’m informed that my account details are incorrect. If I press the get help option, it takes me to the website, with no sign of the promised help. At the best part of £1,000, and a beautiful watch, to be hobbled by this piece of rubbish is both an insult and unacceptable. I might have hoped that a company of this perceived quality would do better - I now need to decide what to do with my watch, possibly sell it for a loss, and find a better solution
