Upward: Christian Dating App

If you want to find someone local, your going to need to try a different app. I set the dating preference to 60 miles for distance. I went on a run of 400+ left swipes because the closest was 125 miles away. I even had 5 that were 700 miles away. I did everything customer service said to do, but they were unhelpful. Then I got on Reddit and saw there are threads of this issue dating back over 3 years!

I notice it bombarded me with likes before I joined. Intentional from an algorithm I’m sure. ($$ ploy) Once I joined, yikes. Very few matches with who I hit like on. And the ones that hit like on me had absolutely zero in common with me. Wish I could get my money back. It’s a waste of time and your money.

The concept of the app is good. I have checked out this app a few times over the last few years and all those in the que are over 100 miles away. Even when I adjust it to only show those at the closest distance, all the prospects are still generating over 100 miles away.

I can’t get any thing to work properly , I went through the stack just looking and now I can’t go to the ones I would like to get to know

Download if you want to pay. I can’t even see messages from others without paying now. What’s the point?

App can not change location which is stupid, unless you answer their pointless questions first, then they change it for you🤬 App is flawed, should be easy to change locations; as easy as a weather app.

You put in your parameters as far as how far away someone lives from you, but the app doesn’t honor it after a few people. I’m not looking for a long distance relationship. Please honor the guidelines I entered.

Before you subscribe to a paid version of this app, just know that you will not get your money’s worth! App is super glitchy, and you will not be able to match/text people that like you! I faced this for months and my subscription was a total waste of money. Reached out to their customer service, and they ghosted me without any solutions or refund!

I tried to set in my area and it would show a few and then 200 plus miles. The app is horrible.

First of all, there are so many fakes out there or flakes. They need to do something about these “people” who match but never say anything or even unmatch you. Sure, maybe you’re someone who just swipes right on everyone. How about you at least unmatch if we match together and you’re not interested?? Why doesn’t the app ban people who do this? Makes me feel like they have fake profiles just to keep you hooked and make you feel like you’re not wasting your time. Kind of like a casino giving you a win every once in a while. Secondly, the filters do not work, even when paying for a subscription (which is overpriced and a ripoff). I keep getting people way outside of my distance (max 40 miles but I get 250+ miles???), don’t want Catholics but I keep getting them??? I don’t want someone with children but I keep getting them??? What’s the purpose of filters if the app doesn’t respect them?? Waste of time and money. Not to mention they actually have “casual” for a Christian dating app. It’s ridiculous. Don’t use this. Try one of the others out there with better features for less money or even free and actually work.
