I can't play any of my mkv files via dnla, not even with transcode enabled.

No music and picture together listen and see
It’s not possible on same nas listen music and have a look on the picture at same time. It’s stops automatically the music if I open a picture. I like to play music by Bluetooth to my box and see the pictures. It seems to be I need a second app to do this. The media player till now better than vlc for .ts streams.

Ich bin wirklich begeistert von dem Player. Streamen über SMB (NAS) funktioniert einwandfrei, die Navigation ist schnell und die Konfigurationsmöglichkeiten sind gut, ohne zu kompliziert zu sein. Das man Favoriten setzen kann ist einfach klasse! Ich hatte zuvor immer mein Surface genutzt, dass kann jetzt abdanken. Vielen Dank für die App!

Ich nutze eine Synology NAS und habe so ziemlich jeden Player im Store getestet, um meine Filme und Bilder von meiner NAS auf meinem IPad wiederzugeben. Der 8Player macht genau das was er soll. Auf der NAS habe ich den Synology Medienserver installiert und mehr braucht es nicht. Der 8Player erledigt den Rest zuverlässig Einfach super!
Top Mediaplayer, leider nicht so bekannt
Ich habe einen DLNA Media Player gesucht, der alle Medientypen (Musik, Bilder, Filme) abspielen kann, Komfortfunktionen wie Suchen bietet und ausreichend stabil und schnell ist. Auch sollten die Kosten überschaubar sein, also möglichst kein Abo. Ich habe im Internet gesucht und 5 oder 6 andere Player ausprobiert und sogar teilweise gekauft. Leider war an jedem Player ein Haken, z.Bsp. - VLC kann keine Bilder - OPlayer Hd kann nicht suchen Alle waren relativ träge, obwohl Netzwerk und DLNA Server bei mir eigentlich relativ performant sind. Dann haben ich diesen Player ausprobiert, erst als Lite, dann als Pro. Alle Tests sind richtig gut gelaufen und der Player ist schön schnell. Suchen klappt auch mit der großen Medien-Sammlung schnell. HDMI klappt. Der Preis hätte auch deutlich höher sein können, ist also mehr als OK. Kurz: 8Player Pro ist meine Wahl.
