Almost great

Everything works great on this app, it renders everything properly, is quick and has a really nice interface. The only thing it needs is to be able to get album art and movie info automatically. PlayerXtreme gets movie art and info if the file is a favourite but doesn’t work as well as 8Player.

Bad application

Useless, the paid version show empty folders, only loads some of the folders. Do not waste your money like I did try a different app

Pointless purchase

Although the App has a neat and friendly UI, not being able to stream many of my videos due to codec/compatibility issues makes the App a pointless and disappointing purchase.

Good app

Works well, not over complicated

Fantastic

8Player is a great streaming media player. I use mine to stream from a DNLA server, and it works like a charm. You can even download media directly from the server without having to connect to iTunes - a big plus in my book. Hopefully the author will add a few more codecs to the paid version soon, which will make it the best player in the I store.

Minor issue

App works great, however, only thing missing is proper AirPlay support!! Please make it happen soon!!

DLNA not working

Used to work well but now won't play any videos through DLNA, emailed support I was told it was codecs which seemed strange as it was working fine all along. Please sort this out!

Excellent

Tried the lite version, worked like a charm, plays more video formats than my ps3, & connects to my seagate goflex and scans my DLNA files faster than my ps3. Fast and efficient!
