Can you fix the bug for overseas users?

el P0RR0 on

Australia

The App won’t let me log in, the app keeps bringing me back to login page after saying device not registered

Only one star because zero isn’t an option

4th time now trying to get my device paired for MFA, wait 3-5 working days for a code in the post. Get your act together AIB, this is in no way good enough. Crypto is going to eat you all.

I can only agree with the other comments from people living in Australia Looks more like a joke set up than a bank app If someone did an app like this for me I would ask for my money back Would advise them to have a look at some Australian bank apps This app would be a fishing ground for Scammers Please improve it ASAP

Rubbish

Must update app. Authentication failed. Living in Australia. Next time I’m home I’ll be changing banks. Unable to use. Unable to transfer money easily. Painful to use for any real purpose. I get charged just to have my money sitting in an account. Unable to authenticate update phone. Technical issues. An absolute joke.

Absolutely rubbish for overseas users

Unusable

Dhdhsnwjzha on

Moved to Australia, setting up the app on a new phone. Got the code sent to my Irish address, entered the code, everything seemed to be going fine, but now whenever I open the app I get an alert about a security upgrade. I try to upgrade it and the authentication fails. If I log out and log back in I get the same alert. Fix this asap

Broken app - constantly looping security update

Siege1234 on

Australia

App doesn’t work. Every time I try to launch it, I can log in but then get an inescapable “security update” message that tries to do something but always returns an “authentication failed” message that “could be due to a technical issue” (seriously?). As soon as you clear the message it forces you to try the security update again or logout. Stuck in a never-ending loop. Highly frustrating and been like this for over a year and numerous updates.

Not functional if you get a new phone

Rockalocket on

Australia

Living in Australia and got a new phone. The app ceased working despite getting sent 2 codes in the mail to set up SCA. Called customer service who were very helpful but the advice is to uninstall, re-install the app and then get another code sent via mail. Needing to use a card reader to transfer money to another person’s account is very old fashioned; the banking apps in Australia are light years ahead.

Too Restrictive

GavinNeylon on

Australia

App is so restrictive and now it doesn’t on my IPhone 14. Security features are not practical, can’t send money to anyone, sending codes via mail etc , card readers etc. So backwards no wonder revolut is taking over. Never written a review about app before, this app is so bad I hand to write one.

Shocking security measures

antoniogarza on

Australia

I have recently came to Australia on a holiday visa and upon coming here I had to get a new phone and an Australian number as my other phone would not work here. Understandingly I had to verify the phone and number that I am now using in the AIB app. To do this I was required to wait 5 days to receive a letter with a code to verify my account. After receiving the code I manage to access my account for all of 30 seconds before I got asked to do a security update. I tried numerous times to access this update but it failed every time and when I contacted customer services about this they asked me to delete the app and re downloading it. When I did this is asked me to then verify my phone number a second time even tho it has been verified before and am being made wait again to receive a code to access my mobile banking app. I need to access my account so I can change my money to Australian dollars as I cannot use my card here while it is still in euros. Customer service was not able to help me this time and I was told to wait to receive my code AGAIN. I have been unable to access any money in my account for a week now
