- Overdraft: Apply for an overdraft in your app in minutes.
- Credit card: Apply in your app in minutes.
Making and managing payments has never been easier:
- Pay another AIB customer with Pay a contact using just their phone number. Maximum transfer is €1,000
- Simply pay another Irish bank account with a one-off payment up to €1,000
- Avail of Apple Pay, & Fitbit Pay.
- Quickly manage standing orders & debit debits
- View, print, save & share up to seven years of statements.
Safeguarding your banking:
- Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) adds an extra layer of security to your online shopping.
- Tap your transactions to see more information like the time, date and type of transaction made.
- Freeze your lost card to keep your money safe – and it's just as easy to unfreeze the card if you find it.
- Need a replacement card? Use the app to cancel your old one and have a new one posted to you.
- Secure Login - Use a compatible smartphone to login securely with FaceID or TouchID.

I can’t believe this is the app of an established bank! Could they not invest a little more so their customers can actually use their services!? The app does not function, at all.
I’m asked to setup 2-step verification security EVERY TIME I use the app. Then after setting it up EVERY TIME, after about 30 seconds it stops working all together….
Very frustrating..
Worst Banking App EVER
I changed my phone and now it ask for updates “to improve the security of the app”, even if I did the pairing with my card reader. Impossible to set it up alone, probably will need to go to a branch.

Restricted mobile banking
Still no running balance. Still no international transfers. And getting rid of the "card reader" for transfers under 1,000€ is not a new feature - it's cleaning up a long standing nuisance, and we were also able to make new transfers to Irish accounts - I'm not sure why it's been considered as a new feature.
Compared to other mobile apps AIB Mobile really is a disappointment and seems to be more centred on restricting use and making our balance histories confusing, rather that making banking seamless on a mobile device. I don't particularly like using the app. Simply put, it doesn't fit my needs.
ING, BBVA and Santander have better apps for banking. They have full access banking on a mobile device whereas AIB has restricted banking for a mobile device (look for a desktop computer or call us should be there app moto!)
I'm only giving one star because I had previously been in contact with the developer and I pointed out these short comings. 2017 and I still need a a desktop computer to make international transactions. I've decided to change banks as banking on the go needs to be without restrictions, especially for professionals.
Previous review: Touch ID hasn't worked since it was introduced in the app and attempting to use it blocks the app. FYI it still isn't working after today's update 6/07/17.
I'm looking forward to an update. I would like to see the account balance after every movement - I can't understand why an application designed to manage my finances wouldn't show me how much was in my account and any one particular time. So I would really appreciate that feature - a running balance.
It's also time to introduce international SEPA transactions on the iPhone app and there needs to be a better way to authenticate the payments. The card reader is a nuisance. It's too big to carry around so I can only use it at home - not very mobile. I also need to save international payees.
Is there a way of reporting errors?

Cant log in since this morning, technical support not much help
Statements generated after 1 business day
Never had an issue with the app. However if I urgently need an up to date statement I have to wait a full day to get one. This is such a basic feature that I’m surprised is still unsupported

It displays message request security update, I press UPDATE than happens fail and again.
Update Loop
Keeps on asking to either logout or update. When you click on update, it takes you to the website to verify the account. After successful verification, brings you back to app, and repeat.
It was like that for a while on my iPhone 11 then went away and now its back on my iPhone 14 pro.
The App right now is unusable for me.
pointless application
I can’t see my balance on the watch, it says I need to turn on the display, after turning it on nothing happens, I already reinstalled and re-logged in, nothing helps, 1 point
