With the AIB Mobile Banking app you can manage your everyday banking anywhere and anytime, from your phone. Freedom and flexibility to do whatever you need, whenever you want.

Meeting your needs:
- If you want to become an AIB customer and need a current account, you can open an AIB account on the AIB app if you're aged 16 and over, live in the Republic of Ireland and have a valid passport or other acceptable Photographic ID.
- Personal Loan: Use the app to apply for a personal loan or loan top-up, up to €30,000.
- Overdraft: Apply for an overdraft in your app in minutes.
- Credit card: Apply in your app in minutes.

Making and managing payments has never been easier:
- Pay another AIB customer with Pay a contact using just their phone number. Maximum transfer is €1,000
- Simply pay another Irish bank account with a one-off payment up to €1,000
- Avail of Apple Pay, & Fitbit Pay.
- Quickly manage standing orders & debit debits
- View, print, save & share up to seven years of statements.

Safeguarding your banking:
- Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) adds an extra layer of security to your online shopping.
- Tap your transactions to see more information like the time, date and type of transaction made.
- Freeze your lost card to keep your money safe – and it's just as easy to unfreeze the card if you find it.
- Need a replacement card? Use the app to cancel your old one and have a new one posted to you.
- Secure Login - Use a compatible smartphone to login securely with FaceID or TouchID.

You can also use the AIB Mobile app to:
- Quick balance: Check up to two balances without logging in.
- Change your address: If you have a sole account, you can change your address on the AIB app.
- See your PIN: If you forget a Debit card PIN you can see it in the app.
- Open a Savings or Current account: You can open an account in minutes

Mail me 2 factor authentication

You mail 2 factor codes you want me to get a home card reader to send 100 euro. I can never sign into the app. You are the biggest joke in banking just pay a real bank to use their software. I am constantly frustrated despite making a single bank transfer per month.

Never seems to work

Between constant updates, errors, enhanced security features and PAC letters, I have yet to be able to use the app effectively. I’ve experience using online banking with two other international banks and have never had an issue in 10 years. AIB seems to either be overcomplicating things or technically incompetent. (I won’t get into those stupid card reader calculators they used to (or maybe still) issue).

Fraudulent Scam Bank

Don't trust this SCAM "bank". They'll take your money and then make it impossible for you to use mobile banking due to scam "security". Not a real bank.

So secure that the owner of the account cannot access their funds 👍 great application if you don’t need to actually use any features

Don’t Bother

Like a lot of Irish I live abroad and trying to use this app has been an absolute waste of time. I’ve called AIB twice to tell them the app won’t work and I’m locked out of my account. They just pass me around to a bunch of confused agents who want me to redownload it and send another code out by post. The issue isn’t the code, it’s the update at the end that won’t install on international phones. Honestly it’s not worth the stress, just close your account and change banks.

Do better AIB

Once you’re trying to log in out of Ireland you can forget about having access to your money.

Rubbish app

This is the worst internet banking app I have ever used. Upgrade my phone each year and have awful issues getting it set up on the new phone. What’s with all the stupid unnecessary security? Crap I think I’m gonna close my account.

App not working

The app does not work on iPhone. I am travelling outside of Ireland and am unable to do my banking. They were unable to help when I called. This is a big inconvenience.

Can’t register,

2 hours spent on registration and id process and after doesn’t let me even end the process. Stop cutting of our registration!

Can’t access my account

I am able to go through the verification and set up for the 2 factor security with cardholder, but once I am in it says I have to update. It then says it can’t update / authenticate and so it logs me out! I then try the whole set up again but the same thing happens. I am out of Ireland now so I have no way of accessing my account otherwise. Please fix this soon. I’ll probably close my account altogether if this continues
