Fantastic

This app is user friendly and highly tailorable - a real game changer!

Love Airtable, hate the app

Shinykatie on

The UX is really not great on this app. There are two big arrows at the top, neither of which do anything useful, but draw the eye. I constantly hit the left back arrow thinking it will take me to the home of my Base. Instead it takes me out to the Workspace menu. (In this regard, the same is true on the web version. Trello has this sorted and it’s so much easier to navigate). In order to get to Home you have to click the teeny tiny, unhighlighted nav text under the big bold header bar. In order to change tables you have to do the same. Why would getting to the Workspace home and general Base settings be more of a priority than switching between tables? If you click the Base header arrow (by far the most prominent button) you’d expect to open up a drop down of table tabs to switch between. Instead, you can just change the name and colour of the Base. How often do we need to do that? (Hardly ever) and yet it takes all the real estate. (Meanwhile, on the iPad version you can’t check multiple field options - you have to reopen the field each time you click an option. Then reopen it to select another. Laborious!) Also, I am not interested in Team features, but there is no option to pay (preferably via all my referral credits) for extra features like more colours. I don’t want to pay for extra users but I’d happily pay a bit for colours etc. (Info: I use Airtable for managing client projects, planning novels and world building, running my veg garden, planning home projects. I don’t need to collaborate beyond being able to share some views with clients). Airtable really has been a game changer for me. I’ve tried so many productivity tools and this is by far my favourite. But the iOS version needs more thought.

Please add a Dark Theme!!

These are standard in apps now. It’s a blinding light opening this app at night.

Useful but incredibly unstable

Sricha27 on

No longer let’s me add photos even after deleting some they just load blurry or not at all within the app yet if I send a link to it people can see the photos no problem

Limited version of a great piece of software

Needs dark mode, for example.

What I want, what do you want?

I love Airtable, it’s easy to use, portable via my various devices, great. What would I like? Multiple lines on each record and merging as per Excel or Numbers. A large picture with info in small underneath.. Can it be done?

Must be online or it DOESN’T WORK!

Tige2021 on

This is a great looking app but it only works if you have a constant internet connection! There must be so many people who aren’t able to use this app because of this limitation and it’s hard to understand why the developers don’t just allow it to sync when you next connect, like other apps. Great potential!

Prefer the old feature

Love the app for organising my collections but hate the new search feature can no longer scroll through searches then it sometimes removes the search all together and takes ages to load
