I doubt AJ will ever listen but if you’re planning to download this game unless you’re willing to spend money, I suggest you don’t. Recently, AJ introduced a new feature: The Super Box. It contains items you can’t obtain anywhere else for a limited time, but for real life money. At first I wasn’t bothered by this as it wouldn’t affect my gameplay, but here’s where it goes wrong. Every month Animal Jam releases a new animal which you can purchase for in-game currency, with completely new 3D model and unique animations. However recently, especially since the Super Box’s first release, more and more of the animals are becoming simply re-skins. They do not have different animations, and they have the exact same model as the original. For example on St. Patrick’s Day, they released the Rainbow Raccoon, which as you can tell from the name, is literally just the raccoon but Rainbow. The bad thing? Unlike the normal Raccoon which you can change the pattern on the fur, the Rainbow Raccoon is always on this stripe pattern. So we’re getting a Racoon, but stuck on a stripe pattern. Guess where they put all that effort into instead? Yup, in the Super Box. While the Super Box just keeps getting “better stuff”, the things we can purchase with in-game currency is slowly downgrading in quality and effort. Oh, and you thought that “only” one re-skin per update wasn’t enough? Well this time we have FOUR. Yes, four re-skins for the bald eagle, and the extra accessories we get from the bundle? All the same thing, but different colour. Good job Animal Jam, I can see the effort you put in that! Each bundle costs 250 sapphires, which is already not easy to get. These four in total equates to 1000 sapphires. Keep in mind these four came in the same update. Usually every update we only get one bundle so we can have time to save up for the next 250 sapphire bundle, but no longer, time to save up for quadruple the amount every month! Instead of getting a new animal with new animations, all that goes in the Super Box. The super box gets a cool new animated wallpaper, a new animal with their own unique animations, and more!!!! Soon enough you’ll just be as greedy as Animal Jam Classic, and maybe even surpass them! Good job on over-exceeding your predecessor!

I do love this game and everything in it but the thing I don’t like is…. SAPPHIRES and MeMBERSHIP. Why do we need sapphires and members for this game anyway? I never get to buy anything that includes sapphires and anything that includes membership. I never even get an animal that includes sapphires. Plus membership. I tried to be a member but it doesn’t work!!!!!!! 😡😥 It includes real money and I don’t even have real money. All I have is coins. So that’s it for me. No pet, No eagle, No anything that needs/includes membership or sapphires. I’m srry it’s me again.. but I just wanna say that there’s a bug in Aj where I can’t type much and chat is broken..same with all my buddies so pls Aj pls help us with the bug ty and have a great day 😊

I’m not saying just make them free for F2P(free to play) players, but old items such as double tail were also obtained through pack chests and weekly members gift, and many people even f2p players would trade for them because they didn’t have the “members only” tag, while newer member items are not available for F2P players to use, and if your membership expires it just disappears from your den/becomes unequippable, I don’t care if I had to trade many rare items, or buy with lots of sapphires, but it’s really not nice that these member items can’t be used at all. Not only that, but it also makes the item’s worth lower since only constant members will purchase it. Perhaps one of these member items could have been the next “double tail” or “galaxy wings” but not many would want it since the members tag.
