AP News

We know about the quality of AP journalism so I don’t need to speak on that as this is a review of the app itself. The app itself, is not a great experience. The layout is… not well designed. It has to reset to the top of the page nearly constantly when reading an article, which makes it nearly impossible to use. Sometimes just scrolling will confuse the app so it reloads… which, you guessed it, yanks you back to the top of the page. Even if it doesn’t get confused, sometimes it’ll register a SLIGHT sideways swipe, which yoinks you back tot he top of the page. They plaster ads on the app, and loading those ads… is buggy and sometimes… yup! confuses itself and the page has to reload. Its like it can’t help itself. It’s been this way for years. I got a new phone and downloaded the app to see if its been fixed 🤣 it hasn’t. Web pages can remember where you were on a page while this dedicated app… can’t for some reason. This is on an iPhone 15 it’s not like it’s outdated hardware. Do yourself a favor. Just use the website. 👍 You can save it to your Home Screen and use it like an app and have a better experience.

AP undoubtedly provides unbiased news and events in Gaza war as it happens on the ground compared to twisted and deceptive presentations of mainstream US news media like NY Times and LA Times. I get news from AP that are without bias. Investigative journalism is at its best from AP News.

This app is absolutely terrible. Reloads constantly, and you can't exit the tab without losing your article most of the time. it cant keep still, even if it holds your article it reloads anyways and if your wifi isn't top tier it will take a million years. And even if all those hurdles are surpassed, the article randomly reloads and makes you loose your place. And of course stops your music/ whatever's playing. Considering finding a new news source cause these problems make the app borderline unusable. So frustrating to use.

AP is the answer to all of the slanted news media out there. Just good reporting.

Not journalism. Distorts facts to advance their narrative while ignoring important stories that do not. Seemingly not content with misreporting the news, some might go so far to say that AP is creating news by blurring the boundary between observation and participation in the world’s sad state of affairs, while, at the same time, attempting to rewrite history.

great source for information and news that doesnt cater to opinions. people that dont like ap are just upset that the facts dont match their preconceived ideas. not sure why it doesnt present en español despite having the option.

I love this app and appreciate all the hard work that goes into the news reporting. The one feature that would make this 5 stars is having notification preferences. I want to co trip what kind of issues I get notifications. I only want one or two a day about some important issues but I get a ton about some things I don’t care as much about. I want to keep notifications on but it’s hard when I’m trying to minimize distractions. Please consider my request. Thanks!

Anyone who takes just 30 minutes of their life (which I would love to have back!) to browse the videos on offer and scroll the articles on AP’s app, can tell very quickly what we are supposed to think, feel, and believe. LONG gone are the days of impartial and unbiased news coverage. I downloaded this app as I have family who use this is their primary news source, and 30 minutes of reading and listening explains a lot I have not been able to understand about viewpoints and politics of some in my family. It is now clear… AP, you are not telling us what is going on in our world and in our country, but you are now telling us how to feel about it, what to think of it, who we should believe… and in the end which way we should vote. I hope more and more American patriots see right through your lies and deceit, before we lose this great nation we love. If only I could have given you zero stars in my rating! God bless the USA.
