Maps Reviews

This map is so unreliable

RandomPerson9597 on

Singapore

Sure, it is a popular app but for a popular app, it is rubbish. Navigations are so bad because they just randomly direct you and wasting time. Every time the fastest route turns out to be the slowest one, and some don’t even take you to your destinations. The timing is absolutely random and it’s straight up unreliable. I think this app should be updated and upgraded so it isn’t so trash

Horrible app.

Ionlysaythetruth!! on

Singapore

Estimated 19 Minutes from one place to another. Suggested that I took the Bus. ENDED UP with a 45 Minutes journey. Simply don’t trust this app. Use only for navigation.

Apple Map Storage Bug Issue

Senksiang on

Singapore

Started using apple maps for the first time in Korea due to Google map limitations. In the matter of 3 days into the trip, the app accumulated 9GB of data storage. Deleted and reinstalled the app but the storage issue is still there even without the app. I have updated to the latest iOS. Read online that this is a known bug for years but apple has not rectified it. Should stay away from using this map as much as possible.

But my house which is already renovated hasn’t been updated. Its 432A Bukit Batok

Not up to date as google map

Afroz Muzammil on

Even cannot update it. Things are outdated. Not easy to add place and even you request there no update. While navigating sometime it sticks to zoom out version and does follow the route closely. Even when you click on map, it does not bring to centre. Offline feature is missing at all.

Long routes even with Suggested Route.

I have been using Apple Map in Singapore and i love it but routes are not as good as Google Map. And it takes longer journey to reach. There are pros and cons for Apple Map and Google map. But i love Apple map for the layout then Google Map at this moment due to Apple map infos on the map. But the routes are killing my petrol. So i realise Google maps is much more precise on the route but not as good on infos on the map.

Good with some big flaws

Used in Singapore. Overall as a simple map it works well enough. You can easily see bus routes and it will give accurate bus timings (for when a bus is arriving to your stop). However the biggest issue I've come across is the accuracy of directions for buses and public transport. Maybe it is due to its inability to track live traffic but it dangerously underestimates how much time is needed for bus routes to your destination. For example one route said it would take 47 minutes, it took 1 hour and 25 minutes. Another on another day stated 38 minutes and it took over one hour. Seriously big issues if you are using it for work in a new city. On top of the fact many small businesses are simple not on apple maps so you will sometimes end up having to use google maps to find particular places.

Singapore public transport review

Singapore

The routes given are not even the fastest and the timing they put is wrong if you are using this add 40 mins to whatever time is listed and u will get there only use this if its ur last resort

Takes up too much storage

zah1n on

Singapore

good but takes 35 gb even though i didnt have it

Poor navigation

Just dont use this app on

Singapore

Please remove best navigation from app description. Change it to worst. How many times do you have to change the preferred route while i am en-route to my location. This is one feature you can’t beat google maps at….
