- the tools you have for managing episodes are garbage - the feed sync is absolute garbage, a lot of times episodes take a long time to appear - the syncing with macos apps is also very slow, as with most of apple apps

With the receipts

I’ve loved listening to Apple podcasts but now I hear advertisements dispersed throughout the episodes, even breaking in with them in the middle of a sentence. If they have to be there, put the ads at the beginning or the end! Very annoying when suddenly some ad jingle bursts into the middle of a solemn or serious interview or talk. Annoying enough that I’ll look elsewhere for my listening sources.

Imagine opening Netflix or Hulu, finding a new show, and the first episode was amazing. You discover the show has five seasons and you are ecstatic to binge the series. You turn on auto play, grab your snacks, and get comfortable on the couch. Episode two comes to a close with an incredible cliff hanger and as you sit in anticipation the screen loads the most recently added episodes or another show you watched last year. That is the bewildering experience with this app. The platform is nice, streamlined, and full of content. However, to play the next episode in the same series you have to go back to your library, click the series, view all episodes, scroll to where you left off, and click play on the next episode. Can you imagine a Netflix: being in season six of a series and after every episode having to navigate back to recently played to meticulously scroll to the next episode?? I understand the concept of someone wanting to listen to new episodes as they are published, and that makes sense, but please give an option to auto play by next in series OR auto play by recently added.
