Will take your money without booking a cab

I see other users have had similar experiences. Booked a taxi and kept getting an error message that my payment did not go through, however, there are charges on my bank account for the fares. The booking does not show in my history or bookings to be able to cancel or request a refund.

Impossibile to use

Spent over an hour trying to order a taxi with this app. (And finally gave up and deleted it…). I’m not a computer programmer, but I get along fine with almost all travel apps, including Uber, Lyft, etc. Unfortunately, this is not an option if you want to reserve a taxi in Florence.

I want to love and support this app but there are too many bugs

I use Uber and Lyft very often in other countries when I travel. So I’m not a novice to rideshare app use. My first attempt to schedule a taxi in Florence went smoothly. I created an account, added my payment method, and scheduled a pickup at our apartment. We needed to be somewhere at 7am and the taxi was scheduled the night before and arrived promptly. Then, every other attempt failed. Regardless of whether I was trying to “call” a taxi right then or schedule a few hours in the future, attempts always failed. I’d enter the exact address used the first time and it would not recognize, or it would default to an address down the street and not let me change it. Or I’d attempt from a restaurant and it would never accept the address. Or sometimes it would allow me to nearly compete the entire schedule and cancel on me. When it works, it’s great. The driver can generate payment from the app which is super convenient but it needs to work better and more often.

Very helpful

We used Apptaxi while visiting Lucca. They were pretty reliable, with there only being one time we couldn’t get one when we called but then we were connected to one within a minute or two of the second request. It worked inside and outside of the city and the taxi drivers were friendly and fair.

Nice service

Very prompt and courteous. Would have rated 5 stars if app would have allowed booking in advance. Definitely recommend.

Good app but several rough edges

I used this app for a few days. It’s easy to use but not good at providing feedback. Like when I book a taxi it does not show me where the taxi is in maps or how far away it is. Except when I book it shows estimated time. After that the app sometimes rebooks another cab in the middle of waiting. Also they want credit card info to be saved for future bookings. Realtime bookings like right now are supported though. Some rough edges but a life savior. The Uber in Florence is spotty at best. And very pricey like twice the regular cab prices.

POOR performance

Used this app once last week. Worked like a charm. Last night attempted to pre book and it continued to say my card did not go through. I have 4 charges and no booking. Unacceptable performance from an app on something that needs to be reliable. (I did notice that between this week and last I had to select black or red based on residence/business. It seemed to be a bit of a loop-maybe it is a new function and causing the problem?) Hopefully you will resolve. I have to make calls today about the charges and still have no booking.

Very pleasant driver

My driver was very courteous and pleasant to travel with, will enjoy future trips with him.🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍

App did not work for me

App did not show the taxi’s location and did not let me cancel the ride.
