Horrible app. Never got SMS code. Can’t even register. Waste of time.

Just like others have said, it’s broken. Tried to register, it insisted on sending an SMS code to my phone but the code never arrived despite multiple attempts. I guess it just can’t send to a US phone number. Too bad, looks like a good idea, but not usable.

Save your data. Doesn’t work at all. To buy ticket you search for destination and the search returns no results regardless of what you type.

Try to buy tickets but can’t. I am still waiting on my verification code for my phone but nothing has come. The app seems to have trouble doing basic things. I ended up not getting on the boat and walking because I couldn’t get tickets

You are unable to purchase tickets on it, and if you are miraculously able to, it is too glitchy to use. It is faster to walk and find a ticket booth.

The app is completely worthless. You will not be able to purchase a ticket this way. And if you try to purchase tickets on their website, it sends you to a page of broken code when you try to check out. Buy tickets at the waterbus kiosks or bring euros to pay on the boat. These are your only solutions.

The app is totally useless. It should be removed from the Apple store.

This app should be withdrawn from the App Store immediately. I am surprised it was allowed in the first place to be published. It’s non functional, broken , except for the money transfer which does work. If it were a scam, it would be a good one. Use paper tickets if you can find them. Shame on whoever is building and deploying this.

This app is beyond broken. First I tired to register and couldn’t because I was unable to receive an sms activation code. Then I was able to get that code emailed. I also tried to purchase a 3 day pass and I just got a generic error message.

I noticed that there are a lot of 1-star reviews left for this app just before downloading it in preparation for my trip to Venice. So I downloaded it with caution. Much to my surprise, I was able to use this app successfully for its intended purpose. However, not all was rosy. Once downloaded, one should take the time to explore the app in order to become familiar with its features. You will eventually come across the section with the full selection of tickets (to get there, start by selecting the green menu option “Transport, Info & Ticket”, then select “Do you already know what to buy?”, and then select “automotive + navigation” and you’re there. A few things to keep in mind: these are time-based tickets (75 minutes, 1-day pass, 2-day pass, 1-week pass, etc.). The time you get from your ticket does NOT begin at the moment of purchase, but from the moment that YOU activate your ticket. This means that after you buy a ticket, it is your responsibility to actually activate the ticket (all done within the app). Once activated, the time allotted by your ticket for travel starts running. You will know that your ticket is activated because a QR code will appear in the ticket section of the app. Whatever you do, make sure that you install this app on your iPhone! Do NOT under any circumstances download this app on your iPad! Here’s why: when entering the docks for the vaporetto (Venice’s public transport boats), you might encounter barriers that will only open when presenting the QR code of your ticket from the app. Those scanners, unfortunately, have a small enclosure in which you must insert your iPhone so that it can read your ticket’s QR code. An iPad will NOT fit inside those enclosures! I wish this was explained in the app or on the public transport company’s website (ACTV), but it isn’t. It is only states that the app must be downloaded on a smartphone, but it doesn’t state why! And what is worse, is that there is no way to transfer your ticket between devices. If you choose to do so, you must get in touch with the customer service hotline of ACTV. I suspect that the people who left bad reviews for this app just didn’t know how to play by the rules, which I think is unfair because the app serves its exact purpose and does what it is designed to do. If I ever go to Venice again, I will hands down use the the app for its superb convenience. Of course, the other alternative is to buy your public transport tickets i
