Arlo Safe: Family Safety

I deleted this app and it removed my entire Arlo account???? Ridiculous.

Very similar to Life360, but doesn’t have crime information.

Doesn’t bring anything to the table my iPhone doesn’t already have for free. Find my works great for my family and I can hold my lock and volume button and call 911 without even having to pull my phone out of my pocket not to mention I have the 14 which has crash detection. Just another overpriced subscription plan from Arlo.

Totally waste of time

The latest problem: Instructions to invite friend to family safety do not specify that new person has to create their own account. Once signed into an account, cannot exit it to sign into a separate account. Even when uninstalling and reinstalling the app and deleting the PW. This makes it impossible to add a friend. Overall, many instructions are not clear and support is blocked by a bot with a mind of its own. The hardware for this system is great. But documentation and support is extremely lacking and frustrating.

Was excited to use this and keep my family safe but as soon as I signed up the problems with the app began. It doesn’t do anything. Talked with support they had me uninstall the app and redownload it. Well it cached my info in the phone so now I have to either A) Reformat my iPhone or B) finish set up in another phone or device….. what!?!?!? No thanks. Other options out there I can use. Returned, refunded, and will not recommend to friends and family!

As with the Arlo Security app this app is not ready for prime time. Crash detection keeps turning off and will not stay on. Location updates are delayed. I have no confidence Arlo will fix this app either. Good thing I was able to trial before actually spending money.
