athenaOne FAQ
Is athenaOne free?
Yes, athenaOne is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is athenaOne legit?
⚠️ The athenaOne app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
Don’t know how they are rated, maybe employees. So many problems. Athena one logs off daily have to re enter password many times. Not useful other than quick review for primary care. Other Athena issues faxes not attached even if name clearly on form. Over charging and accounting questionable. Annotate and sign issues for 3 yrs. Notification issues for 6.
Great app, but please let me do billing soon :)
I love being able to go through charts, labs, etc, straight from my phone instead of having to bust my laptop out. I would like, however, the ability to bill. It says this feature is "coming soon" but it has had that for about a year now. Any light at the end of the tunell? If this became a feature, man I'd be happy.

Terrible app, even worse support.
This app is terrible and so is the complete and utter lack of support from Athena with issues they’ve created. Clearly, you’re paying people for ratings because there’s no possible way you’re a 4.6 star quality app.
Major issues
Experiencing major issues with the app. When I first downloaded it was working fine, no problems with login. Now, whenever I try to log back in, I get a notice that system administrator needs to be contacted. I tried to go through the “help” link but it’s asking for a mobile app login before proceeding. Not sure who I can contact to get this issue resolved once and for all.
Works
Works better than others I’ve used.
Billing
So the app is great for schedule wise. I’m over billing but only way for me to look up an account is on a computer if an employee or patient ask about billing I have to call them back or try to get access to their account on a computer.
Wish there was a billing feature.
Scheduling
Would be so helpful to be able to schedule appointments via the app. I keep waiting for this to be included in the update.
Unable to see my appointments
I liked the app initially as I was able to see my schedule and prepare visits on my mobile phone but for the last month or more this feature hasn’t worked and I have had no response from tech support. I tried the tech recommend fixes without any change.
Submitted more than one ticket without response.
Not v useful still..clunky
AthenaText: you can never go back and look for a subject or key word eg patient name to see comments regarding that one issue. A search function would be sooo useful.
Also, CPT2 codes…!! Help!! Need sophisticated functionality to trigger automatic CPT2 code input into the billing page. V new to us, plz help!
Why not connect CRISP to this to alert us when a pt has been discharged so we can do the TCM care on time (99496, visit within 7 days of discharge).
AthenaOne: Even putting in an order group is kinda annoying. Put in dx, go back, add medication, fiddle, go back, sign, did it sign…. I did this for two patients once, one worked and the other did not. Pt quite annoyed the next day when UTI medication still not sent.
Also, why not controlled substances? That way, for a URI, you put all the orders in at one time instead of all except the cough syrup that you have to then go back to the computer and sign. By then the patient would’ve gone back home from the pharmacy without it.
Why can’t we use the app (or another) for pt request and communication? Would be so helpful.
