This is still the best “Filofax” style system for keeping easy to find records with supporting images and notes. I can’t believe it’s still working perfectly after 5 years of no development updates despite all the iOS changes. I’m enjoying it on ios17 and iPhone 15 Max. Long may it continue. Although would be great if someone picks up the development again to ensure its longevity into the future.

This developer [Brid] is odd. Instead of continuing to develop and update the already awesome [Awesome note], they instead bring out a new app [HyCalendar] which has less features than their original app. Why didn’t they just update the calendar in Awesome note?

The developers have done a runner and you will not be able to contact them (last contact seems to be 2011). The app is fatally flawed and you will eventually loose ALL your data. This is not just a grumpy bloke who’s lost his data, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. I have used and trusted this app for many years now, and it is full of my vital data, passwords, important dates, my own personal development notes. I cannot tell you how important this app was to me. Then I noticed the backup stopped working and foolishly, I kept using it - it’s well designed and very visually pleasing, so I soldiered on. Then recently, for no obvious reason, it started crashing 5 seconds or so after launching. It is now utterly useless and all my data is locked away. I’m my opinion, it should be a criminal offence to provide such an app without any health warning up front (and I don’t mean in the small print). Normally, it’s buyer beware, but the impact of losing vital personal data can lead to dire consequences and should not be left to cowboy outfits to exploit or walk away from. The lesson here is: never use a third party developer for anything involving important personal data, always use the standard app on your platform such as Apple Notes etc. That way, if anything goes wrong, Apple are unlikely to run off to Mexico at the first sign of trouble!

This App - Awesome Notes 2 - is best of the genre. Should be a standard pre-install with new iPhones and Apple Watch. Apps like these are what made this brand great. Have not seen updates for some time though there is no need as far as the core functionality goes. I hope it does not disappear like several great apps in the past. Deserves many more users.

Please give us an option to pay for this if it means we have security that the app won’t just disappear! I use this as a journal and to keep a track of my health and other important information. I literally use it every day and have hundreds of notes!!! 😖 I’m stressing at the thought that I would be unable to use it anymore, so please, give us an option to pay if it means the app will stay functional forever!

I’ve been using this App since way back when I got my first iPhone. It’s so handy and versatile with lovely colourful graphics. After doing a mega tidy up of my data I went on to add a recipe photo to my recipes tab. (Great feature). Wanted to add more but wouldn’t let me. Went to the help pages to find out why and … oh no!….. they are not there! Nor is the contact developer page. It just says domain name doesn’t exist??? Please, please keep this app going. Many apps are disappointing but this excels. P.S. Could we have some extra coloured note pages too if you get a chance?

In my opinion the best calendar app on the App Store. And it has been for a long time. Extremely comprehensive, covers many bases, looks good which is pretty impressive considering it hasn’t been updated for a couple of years! But there lies the worry.. will it suffer the fate of so many apps.. disappearing into oblivion? I hope not, it deserves to live on and certainly is a credit to the developer. Hoping we’ll see some updates soon.

This is a great app, it really is, I have used it multiple times a day for 10 years. I run my life through this app. But I was disappointed recently when it was removed from the App Store so I couldn’t reload after I got a new phone. It was out of the store for at least 2m and began the process of migrating all the data to other apps. Then it thankfully reappeared a week ago. Thus can’t happen again. Brid (the developer), it must be relied on to be in the App Store.

Still doing great after all these years! The organisational functions in the app as well as the syncing options are intuitive and well done. The array of options, calendar integrations are well worth the purchase. Well done guys!
