I don’t know who designed this but the navigation is terrible and if you don’t turn notifications of it will spam you regardless of what your settings are. I have my notifications set to my favourite teams and event only and it literally spams me every event and medal. Nothing makes sense trying to find out any information. A real shame for something that should complement the event.
Really poor effort. Birmingham games merited much better than this.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. The only way to get any info is to use it to find the website. Notifications are completely random.
Everything opens up in a browser, some of the results I looked at were wrong, not intuitive at all - it was a maze to find the information I wanted. The one star is for the schedule page being marginally helpful.
What a real shame that giving the Commonwealth Games has been so successful this App is really poor. The biggest problem is that when you click on “Results” the App gives you information on the daily Schedule and how to buy tickets!
Helps keep up with the latest score and when events are happening
Trying to navigate to find the information you want is not straightforward. Why is England in T20 finals? To me the match they are in is for the bronze medal. Is that the final? Very misleading! There is more information that’s easy to access on the BBC Sport app than this app which just links to the website. No quick way of finding out results on this app. The medal table is not always up to date. Also no quick way of getting tickets for a certain sport as there’s too much waiting.
The fact there’s no signal or WiFi at the stadium means you can’t access this when you want, so it’s pointless.
Possibly the best app for sports events that I have ever used
Just use the website. Journey planner doesn’t work. Can’t back click on results. Scheduling is very hard to find (eg what squash games are on which court and when)
