Bad North is a charming but brutal real-time tactics roguelite. Defend your idyllic island kingdom against a horde of Viking invaders, as you lead the desperate exodus of your people. Command your loyal subjects to take full tactical advantage of the unique shape of each island. Everything is at stake: fail, and watch the blood of your subjects stain the ground red.

It’s charmingly brutal, with beautiful procedurally-generated islands and adorable soldiers juxtaposed against the blood-stained realities of war. You control the broad strokes of the battle, giving high level commands to your soldiers who try their best to carry them out in the heat of the moment. It’s accessibly deep, with simple player inputs masking a dynamic combat simulation that make it inviting to new players while challenging veterans.

Fun, but crashes

Great game, but keeps crashing on iPad 6th gen

Spiritual successor to Myth by Bungie

Game reminds me of the original Myth game by Bungie two decades ago. Has a similar feel, but is unique in its own original and quirky way. I am not a fan of simplistic casual gaming but this one is very good and tactically it is a real challenge. Love the art work, music and general old world feel of this offering. Certain to be a classic. Fantastic. PLEASE, PLEASE THE DEVELOPER: Could we have a version where we play as the enemy in either defence or attack. That would be so cool!

Game does not work on latest iPad

I have the latest iPad and the game hangs after the first battle. Getting to the first battle was also very bug ridden.

Great game

This is a great game. I love the gameplay and it’s so fun. I have had a few crashes like people have said but it hasn’t been so bad that I can’t play.

Unplayable

I used to be able to play the game but now i can’t even because it crashes every time while loading and the devs are too stupid and lazy to be able to fix the game because it hasn’t been updated in over a year

The notch hides stuff

Doesn’t work with iPhone X, XS, 11, 12, or 13 because it assumes the notch isn’t there and hides UI elements behind there.

A good game but I can not play because it always crashes

The game is good but for the fact that I have not been able to play for over 170 days when will you fix it I paid money for this and it only worked for one day

Great game. crashing blocking my progress though.

I love the game and it is really fun, but about 75% (I think) into the campaign, it just randomly crashes. It keeps crashing before I can select a level to play. It doesn’t crash during a level, for some reason. Please fix so I can play.

Almost perfect!

The game works great on the iPad Pro 2021, except for some audio stuttering over headphones. If they could fix that then this would be an easy five stars.

I love it

I’ve played this game for a while and I have loved it all of that time it has lots of strategy and is super fun
