Bad North is a charming but brutal real-time tactics roguelite. Defend your idyllic island kingdom against a horde of Viking invaders, as you lead the desperate exodus of your people. Command your loyal subjects to take full tactical advantage of the unique shape of each island. Everything is at stake: fail, and watch the blood of your subjects stain the ground red.

It’s charmingly brutal, with beautiful procedurally-generated islands and adorable soldiers juxtaposed against the blood-stained realities of war. You control the broad strokes of the battle, giving high level commands to your soldiers who try their best to carry them out in the heat of the moment. It’s accessibly deep, with simple player inputs masking a dynamic combat simulation that make it inviting to new players while challenging veterans.

Achievements broken, progress dumped…

Amazing game to play, gameplay and game design is top notch, but - 1 star for achievements being broken and -1 star because when I finished the game it dumped my progress and reverted my save file to the 1st checkpoint! Game was last updated 3 years ago…

Amazing game!

Saw someone playing and really took enjoyment to watching it! Finally thought I’d buy it and it was just like playing on any other platform it’s really great I recommend:)

Great Game

This is one of my favourite games, the art style and game mechanics are spectacular, it never gets old. The maps constantly generating leads to new challenges each level and campaign. If I could change one thing I would add more game modes, idk if endless is a thing but I would add that, maybe attacking an island instead of defending would be cool. Great game but adding stuff like this would make it amazing.

A great game

I bought this years ago, and gave up because it crashed frequently. But with the exact same device, it's working now! It's not that complicated a game; you command your adorable troops to run around various islands, trying to stop invaders from burning the place down. The game loop is fun, as you specialize and upgrade your troops, and are in turn attacked by new types of enemies. One campaign is a few hours, but there's several items you pick up to try a different strategy on the next run.

They fixed the game

I saw all these reviews like from two years ago that said the game crashes constantly, but I haven’t seen that at all. The game works great for me. Maybe crashed once in like eight hours of play time. Great game too. It really gets you to think about real time strategy and position. Love playing it. Great mechanics. Great music and graphics. Totally worth the price.

I’ve been playing Bad North on my iPad Mini and it runs great and it’s lots of fun :)

Great tower defence/rts game

Exactly what I was looking for. Short rounds, good mechanics and fun graphics. The unique commander names and faces get you attached and make you want to keep them alive.
