BBC World Service

I live in Denmark and have listened World Service regularly since the 1070's, first on radio and, for the last decades, in the internet. But now the service is unavailable, replaced by a service that just repeats itself. What happened? Why? Michael Whyte

Even though today’s BBC World Service is hardly the shadow of the incomparable and extraordinary international institution it ones was, it is still a important, reliable and trustworthy source of information. Useless to say, I do wonder what happened to all that colourful broadness, creatively, and splendour that it used to represent? A basic functionality in this day and age. Response from developers is ‘we don’t have that kind of speaker so we can’t fix it’. This is a huge corporation that serves millions of customers, and it cannot buy an airplay speaker to develop compatibility???

It makes absolute no sense constantly asking people either no formal education about their f e e i n g s,and their p e r s o n a l experiences. Once - long time ago - you had a chance to l e a r n something, listening to BBC. Thet's - unfortunately - no longer the case.

Once the most respected news organisation in the world but now selective towards political correctness and no longer editorial neutral.
