Convenient App. Good charts and easy to make routes and upload to Zeus and get going
This app is great while it works but then suddenly I can’t log in to my account from any devices. That is trouble when you started to rely upon it. They have to do a lot of work on the reliability of the app. So disappointed!
New boat with 3 Zeus glass. Really ? You want 15$ subscription? Didn’t pay enough for the chart plotters. App crashes and won’t connect to the WiFi of one unit without logging out of the other and dropping the WiFi they were all connected to.
This app is awesome!!
I really tried to like this app since all my instruments are B&G. However trying to update offline maps on a new iPad is impossible. Even on a 1GB internet connection at home it takes days to download the US East Coast maps. Imagine trying this while on the way with marginal internet. I flagged this once before with no reaction and even after multiple updates of the app it has not gotten better. Navionics is doing a much better job, so does Orca. B&G, Downloads are not rocket science PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE
The app appears to be what I’m looking for. However, I can’t confirm because all of my efforts to connect it to my Zeus2 plotter have been unsuccessful. The app recognizes it, bu never adds it. My calls to get help go into a waiting list that never seems to move. There is no easy way to get help. No troubleshooting suggestions.
Trying to use on an old iPad mini. I can install, but app dies after initial B&G display screen. App info suggests it should run on iOS 12 and later. My iPad has 12.5.7
I have spent two hours trying to create a route this morning and been entirely unable to do so. The auto routing takes me out of the navigation channel and into shallow water despite my depth setting. Further there is no way to establish a manual route. This is useless. I will use Navionics instead.
The developers of this app are clueless about what the app needs to do. It is deficient in too many ways to list. Just one example. Create a route and send it directly to your b&g chartplotter. Nope. Can’t do that. Need I say more?
I have emailed customer support numerous times over weeks; including a major safety issue where my Bahamas charts disappeared, putting me and my family in danger. Nothing. Not a peep from B&G. Now the app; about useless for 1 major reason…..it keeps requiring a network login to the BG server while I am in remote locations with no cellular or internet, this renders the mirror/remote connection to the chart plotter via my iPad useless because you know what? It wants me to login to the BG Server!! Just perfect when in bad weather I can’t view my plotter via my iPad, so I have to go out in driving rain and wind to access the plotter! Also, the settings aren’t working on the app… The screen just has the waiting swirlybird even when I have internet…..so can’t adjust any settings. How unhelpful. Outside of BG being lousy at customer support and an app that is pitifully below expectations, the BG plotter is pretty good…. I will have to give them that, but after this experience my next product will be a Garmin as I can’t in good faith endorse this company unless they make some changes.
