BikeLink Bike Parking Reviews

“Report a problem” doesn’t let us report problems

Codemonkey2020 on

United States

Tapping on the “Submit” button on the “Report a problem” screen does nothing. The actual problem is that the iOS app doesn’t open Google Maps, but only Apple Maps. There’s no live availability info for the lockers, so you can only hope that you’ll get lucky. (Also, there aren’t enough lockers in my city.)

Was good until it wasn’t

Beeen working relatively well until today when it wouldn’t open the locker. Took ~30 minutes with phone support to get it open but it still thinks it’s in there on the app and is now charging at a higher rate. ??? I tried longing out of the app and now when I try to log back in I get error -1009 , which appears to be some sort of domain related error. Maybe that’s why the end rental button was stuck with some sort of highlight cycling across it. This needs to be more reliable. Don’t know if the support is 24 hours but I’d hate to be stuck somewhere late at night because I can’t get my bike out of the locker. … Update - I guess the issue I was having was due to a UI change where you now need to swipe the end rental button instead of pushing it. Agreed with the person I spoke with at BikeLink that this is a great idea as it makes it less likely that one might inadvertently push the button and not notice the door pop open as they walk away. Just the UI wasn’t expressive enough with what action was necessary and the app auto updated, so, no chance to be notified of the change. Maybe a text with a link to a “new features” page would help. The inability to log in was also resolved and something I’d still consider a bug but, since I now know the workaround, I’ll just call it an odd behavior. I’ve bumped my rating from 2 to 4, which means some things still can be improved but a worthy app.

Broken Junk!

My location has 20 lockers and over the last year I’ve seen them fail one by one until there is just one left. I have contacted support several times but the lockers remain inoperable.

Cannot log in

It sure if the system is overloaded but it continues to tell me my request timed out.

App is working

The App has no issue and its working. its a situation beyond my control and even the Bikelink. I have been using Bikelink for over 10 years and i still believe my bike will always be secured and safe.

Apple watch!!

Gunna49 on

I think the app is great. That’s why I gave it 5 ⭐️’s. However I just wish y’all could make it compatible for Apple Watch too instead of it just being for the iPhone cause I forget that I need my phone out to unlock the locker and I already had put my phone away. So now you know I got to get my phone again just to unlock the locker. But other than that I think the app is great. Can y’all please do this for the update!!

App Is Trash

Too buggy. It won't even let me make an account. Better off getting a reloadable card because this app is living in 2011.

Highly recommended

Great service, only gripe is I wish it were possible to add a Bikelink card to the Apple Wallet (or use Clipper card when stored there), so that I can use it when offline without the physical card.

App won’t open door

glayzed on

Was very excited to find this app and be able to see locker availability and also pay through the app. Today was my first time using the service and I had no issues opening and locking up my bike in the locker. However, when I went to retrieve my bike the app would not open the door. I had to try calling the customer service line 3 times (twice getting put on hold and hung up on). The agent on the phone was very helpful when I finally got to them. It took me 40min from when I got back to the locker to when I was finally able to get it open and get my bike with a manual code from customer service—the app never worked to open it. My phone had Bluetooth enabled and was in range of the locker and the open door button would not activate. I will continue to use the service as the bike lockers are amazing but I will only be using the app to look at locations and availabilities. I will be ordering a physical payment card to make sure I don’t get stuck like this again!

Super useful

Works well in Seattle! I think having the app mentioned on the bikelink lockers would be great.
