Blueground FAQ
Is Blueground free?
Yes, Blueground is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Blueground legit?
⚠️ The Blueground app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
Stayed with Blueground for 1 month. Very bad experience.
We stayed there for 37 days. I strongly advise anyone to not stay with them.
The apartment was dirty the first day I moved in. The floor was covered by dirty footprints. I had to spend 2 hours cleaning the apartment after a 10-hour flight.
We booked a 2-bedroom apartment for the capacity of 4 people, however they only give us 1 access card to the building, so if my husband and I went separate ways, one of us couldn’t access the building.
We raised this issue with Blueground team and they told us they would give us a new card. They keep saying they would bring a new card today, tomorrow or the day after, but by the time we moved out, nobody gave us a access card. They just kept lying to us to avoid buying a new card from the building management. Later we learned from the building management that you needed to spend 10AED for a new card.
In order to save 10AED, which is 2.5 USD, they are willing to lie to their consumers and let them not being able to access the building for a month. Unbelievable.
Can’t pay.

Absolutely Do Not Use
Over paid for an unsafe dump. Apt was horrid. Smelled like urine. Bathtub flooded every time I showered. I couldn’t sleep because the AC didn’t cool the bed room correctly. My car was vandalized in the parking lot and I lost $2k in property out of the car. I feel absolutely taken advantage of. Moving out because I don’t feel safe in the apt this app provided. Please consider other options.
Master of passing the buck
There are two levels of management: (1) Blueground, and (2) Facility managers of the apartment complex. Both take full advantage of the situation to pass the buck to the other, leaving you feeling like a tennis ball at the US Open.
This happens way too often to list here. But let me mention just one here as an example. I rented a furnished flat in NY from Blueground. Second week, water goes out. As in, no water on tap. No warning. Just no water. I report to Blueground, and they say they will look into this. No reply for the rest of the day. Late afternoon, I walk to the concierge’s desk and ask whether it is just my flat. No, he says, the whole building has no water. Didn’t you get the email, the concierge asks. It turns out the building managers sent email to all residents ahead of this planned water interruption. But I never got that email. So, I walk to the property managers desk and ask to be added to that mailing list. She says she can’t add me because she has already added Blueground as residents, and suggests that I ask Blueground to keep me posted on such outages and the like. So, I ask Blueground. Now, Blueground tells me they have no idea how to relay notices from the property managers desk to me. So, I have no way to get the notifications that go out to other residents.
Life is too short to deal with this mess. I would be much better off renting directly from the owner and/or property managers desk.
Avoid at all costs
Deliveries don’t work, bathroom door doesn’t close, absolute no customer support: the guy keeps closing cases I open, for $8500 for 5 weeks. It’s a scam.

Easy breezy!
My long term stay in New York was made so easy by Blueground. The apartment was exactly like it was pictured. Communication and instructions were clear and easy to follow. We did not encounter even one hiccup and that is extremely rare in today’s world! Had a light that burned out in the kitchen and I contacted them and it was fixed pronto! I also used their recommended transportation company and they were excellent too. Highly recommend Blueground to anyone and they will definitely be my go to in the future when I need a place to stay. Thank you Blueground for such excellent service! Keep up the good work.

Absolutely terrible experience
Have stayed in Blueground for over 6 months previously and was a repeat customer. This time it was a terrible experience. The home had a taped showerhead that was leaking water, restroom was not working, no heat or cooling in near zero temperatures outside, non working wifi, missing basic amenities that blueground provides for the first couple of days, dirty apartment (huge egg splatter on microwave). It was totally unlivable coupled with loud construction noise outside. When I felt compelled to leave within 15 days even though I had prepaid for the whole month, support never responded to the messages. Even now 2 weeks after vacating ahead of schedule I haven’t heard back from support. Really traumatic experience and definitely wouldn’t recommend.
don’t
the place i rented from that organization had broken tiles in eve bathroom, work paint everywhere, leaky windows, and i had to get rid of cockroaches in the kitchen
I haven’t received my deposit back one week after moving out and their staff acknowledging that there was no issue with the place
