Fantastic and I love it!!!

This is sh !t on

Easy to understand and add new books, it’s lovely that we can now put the books in locations, and series, and it’s just so amazing to sort my library. I’m a bit confused when the books you wish for/want is in the library as well, perhaps put them in their own folder and not with the ‘library’ books? It would be lovely if one could select multiple books from a ‘location’ and move them all, instead of just being able to change status or delete them from there.

Desent app but locked behind subscrition

I think The app has a Chance to be way better if it make reading modes a free feature insted of giving you 3 sesjons without a subscrition.

Wow!

App I did not know I needed. Found out I only read 8 pages an hour though. But I get to have control over all the books in my wishlist and the ones in my bookshelf. Love this app 👍

3 strikes in 5 minutes

Skippy_the_magnificent on

I was excited when I saw this app; a clean-looking app that does what I currently do in a Word document? Sign me up! unfortunately, this app racked up three strikes within five minuytes of downloading it. The first one was lack of Apple Books integration. I figured that Apple hadn't made an API for the app to grab all the books automatically, but I also knew that you can "share" a book from Books which is just a text string with title + author. I cannot think of an easier, more obvious integration with anything than being able to send a text string into the app and do a search for it. But nope. I could even make this integration myself if the app had a URL scheme, and while I have to admit I haven't checked if it does, I doubt it. Strike two was three books into adding them manually (Share from Books, Copy to clipboard, paste in search field...). Whatever book database this uses is BEHIND. It has books from the author, even same series, but a month old book is simply not in there. You can add books manually, but that is annoying to say the least. This is why you use more than one database. Strike 3 was seeing the resolution of one of the two books it added. Blurry and blocky as hell. There's no "find cover" feature, so back to manual editing. That's 2/3 books. As I'm writing this I also realize there's a strike 4. There's only a few fields for book metadata, with one glaring omission being the series and number in that series. I appreciate what the developer is trying to do here, and the app is free, so I guess complaining is a bit bitchy. I also expect the app to become better over time. But this is listed as version 1.4.2 and has the featureset of a beta version, if that. I do actually expect developers to number their releases somewhat logically so that it gives me some idea of the stage the app is at before I get too excited. This app shouldn't be considered a release version, let alone half way to v2.
