I downloaded this app for faster transactions but i am unable to use it until I have the latest ios which is very disappointing as I am at the moment not capable pf buying a new phone just to upgrade my ios. I cant transact anything without the mobile app. I hope bpi can fix this.

Unable to connect

Overseas user here. With the recent update, I’m unable to use the app whenever I use my mobile data. Other banking apps works fine. Error message would say unstable internet, but I’m using both 4G and 5G. Had to resort to internet browser, but issue is when mobile key is used.

Overseas user here. Previously, I was able to use the mobile app to access my bank account for years. Now, I cannot access my BPI account via mobile app or even the official website for more than a month. Too much hassle, as I cannot do online payments anymore!!! Website and mobile app - too slow, cannot access even the logon page I tried to reinstall the mobile app, still the same issue. For accessing the official website in my phone and laptop, same issue. I tried to connect to 5G and also wifi, still the same issue.

For months now, I’ve been trying to register my phone’s BPI mobile app from Sydney. But it keeps on failing. I already raised this with their customer support to no avail.

QR code no more!

I’ve been using these app for a long time already and it’s been really working well. It’s been a big help especially transferring money to other bank accounts only using the QR codes from photos for goods & services payments but now no more. No good.

OFW here. BPI Mobile app defaults to requiring you an OTP using whatever number you have registered before. Now, if you lost access to that number, then you’d need to have that number changed by either reaching out to BPI (submit docs via email, etc.) or what I did — used my BPI Debit Card to change the number to my overseas number. After that onboarding was smooth, I’m done in 10 minutes. I didn’t give this app a 4 because there were steps in the UI that could be lead to misunderstanding for people who aren’t good with mobile banking. For example, there was a message where it said something failed but actually everything is fine. That said, I don’t agree with a lot of the people here giving the app a 1 when in fact, they weren’t able to experience using the app because they can’t do OTP verification. Should BPI remove that step? I don’t know. I think it’s safer if they keep it as default.

Worst mobile banking app

This is the worst mobile app that I’ve ever used! I would give it a negative rating if I could. Push notifications regarding OTP mobile key to register a new device doesnt come. Contacted the support but it’s hopeless. App constantly hangs up. Doesnt allow me to register a new device. Doesnt give me an option to send the key through SMS. And the list goes on!
