I don’t really ever review apps but I had to with this and I apologize

I wanted to use this to create maps with mountain ranges and rivers, lakes etc. the sliders seem to do whatever they want and even tho the flat looking maps can probably be useful, I will probably Be using a different app to create my maps because, like I said, previously, there is no topography for normal maps even tho there is a feature that gives the ability to see a sort of topography that can’t be used in a campaign in any of these maps, also, there is the problem with the globe feature, having no features of its own. I was very excited when I saw the app in the store but once I began using it I developed a headache, I never write reviews, but these are things that should be worked on because there are a lot of tabletop gamers, that would love something like this to create worlds for their campaigns. I don’t know how often you look at the reviews and I’m not sure how long it would take to fix those mistakes, but if those mistakes are fixed, I would absolutely recommend this app to others and use it myself, even for a price of may be five or $10 because those features are well worth it.

Poor Quality…

Can’t see water level changing on elevation map… whole reason I wanted that map… No other terrain options? I want to be able to customize the ecosystem according to various environmental characteristics. The 2D map doesn't have a oval edge around it, to show the planet’s curvature? There is no 3D look at the terrain/ map? No weather or ocean pattern analysis options? The zoom out on the planet needs improvement! No option for zooming in, or editing while in that mode. Can barely see it… I wanted to use this for writing stories, but it just didn't have the features needed to create more in-depth details necessary for world building.

I love world building, and your apps have been a great help in several ways. For this one, I’d love to see some manual adjustment of terrain, variations in climates, addition of north and south poles, maybe a zoom feature, and ability to look at the planet from different angles, maybe even adjust the map and lighting of the planet. Very useful as it is now, I could just could use some upgrades. Thanks!

Horrible

Firstly, it didn’t let me customize anything except the size of some continents, Then it only showed A teeny tiny itty bitty portion of the map, and then it made me go download other apps just to get that same thing but A different version. If I could rate this app 0 stars, I would. But the lowest it lets me go is one so J will settle for that.

I don’t really have too much to say, it randomly generates maps, it doesn’t have many settings to modify generation which can be a touch inconvenient. You also can’t draw or place anything on the map, which is a feature I’d really like to see. But if you need a base template to port into a drawing app it’s a great tool.

Why

It builds a lowres (emphasis on the LOW part) terrain where you can increase or decrease the water levels. There is no option to draw your own landmass. That is literally it. Probably useless to 99% of anyone downloading it.

This is an excellent app but I’m mad about the in game Purchases but they gotta make money somehow so it’s ok
