Job’s a good’n!

A legendary PS1 game that seems tailored for modern mobile gaming. For the price and playability, I couldn’t recommend this enough. Although the touchscreen controls work fine, I’d highly recommend using a controller if you’re not used to touch screen games. (Right analog stick to access the map)

Solid port of classic

I was a bit sceptical about playing this on mobile - but having just played thru using only the iPhone controls I think this works well enough to be enjoyable. Graphically it still looks excellent - better in fact than the ps1 version did. You can’t go wrong for £2.50 - I would happily pay £12 for this on the switch so until we get that port this is the next best thing!

Brilliant. Possibly the best game ever.

It’s a fantastic emulation of the ps1 original. As game design goes there’s not many that get closer to this. All the memories and tactics came floating back. I can see why people can get frustrated. This game is hard and you die a lot at first but you play through and level up. Controls are probably dreadful on the touch screen i don’t know how you’d beat any bosses. Get a ps4 controller and it works perfectly. Sound. None from the speaker but comes through on headphones. I see why there’s some complaints about instructions and the special moves. None of this is explained in game but there’s plenty of walkthroughs out there. The original would’ve come with a thick instruction manual.

Super buggy interface and it costs money

Basically it is a nice emulation but the buttons are just not responsive waste of money terrible. Just avoid this game is fun when you have buttons that are responsive otherwise it’s just not playable.

Poor controls

The whole experience gets ruined by the poor controls, difficult to use.

Classic game , touch screen control hell

I read the reviews here and saw the importance of using a controller. I though “ ah I’ll be fine “ no. Just no. Feel like I’ve wasted 2 quid I could have spent on ham or cheese.

Great game, bad touch controls.

The touch controls for movement in this port make it extremely frustrating.

Great port

All the moaners are just kids who didn’t play the original. If you enter your name as Maria or Richter, you will NOT be playing the full game. Play first as Alucard to experience the game properly. If you start as Maria or Richter, the game is very hard. The port is amazing. Works perfectly with PS4 DualShock 4 controllers. No lag at all. My only gripe is that they re recorded the voice acting - I somehow preferred the old cheesy script. And the menu is all modern. Oh and it would be awesome to have some video filters. But those things are minor. Buy it!
