## CDK Lane 3.0 Description
Current CDK Service customers, CDK Lane 3.0 is now available! This next evolution of CDK Service software with Lane 3.0 simplifies the workflow and provides a more efficient user interface for the Service Advisor, and a better experience for the customer.
 
Using state-of-the-art mobile technology, Service Advisors can greet customers at their vehicle, scan their VIN, and roll the appointment into an RO with a few simple taps on an iPad. No appointment…No problem. Just scan the VIN, enter the customers information and move on. Advanced DMS integration makes creating a new customer faster than ever before.
 
With our new application, you can perform a customized vehicle walk around in the time it takes most systems to pull up customer information. Attach pictures of damage to the Repair Order, perform touch vehicle markup, note concerns, and even upsell services all on the iPad while your customer is still standing next to you. With access to customers and vehicle history, including any previously declined services, Service Advisors are equipped to provide the highest level of customer service.
 
The new user interface is designed to feature a hub-and-spoke workflow vs. the traditional linear workflow. This allows the Advisor to navigate to wherever he needs to go within the application without taking time-consuming, needless steps.
 
Faster, easier, and more profitable than anything ever seen in automotive fixed operations, CDK Service with Lane 3.0 takes Automobile Dealership Service Departments to the next level.

This is the worst software I have ever worked with, it fails constantly, crashes, server side errors- my dealership fell into this trap and we have felt the pain daily.  A two minute write up takes 15 minutes on average and embarrassing moments in front of customers apologizing for wasting their time. I’ve lost many sales to this, this program actually prevents sales. Not to mention when it’s working “properly” it loads and loads and loads leaving dead time between you and the customer. I would prefer a brick over this because at least I know what the brick will do next. No notification after tech puts his estimate in smart, if parts will even stay on the sheet you are lucky. It rides on the back bone of CDK drive which is a good program. But it can’t even transfer it own data into a program owned by its own company….. total trash. They need to completely scrap the web based programming and create an application. So all the loading and upload can be done in the background.

The application closes in the middle of customer write up and also every time the phone screen locks. It sometimes takes several attempts to log back in. E-signature also stopped working. Is there a fix or a more compatible device? Right now the app is unusable. Using iPhone 13 Pro Max. Thank you.

First, the vin scanner is next to pointless. Second, why is there an option to remember login when it NEVER does. You’re subject to the annoying 2 step authentication every single time. We don’t have time for all the errors it gives either. Obscure stuff nobody’s ever seen, requiring you to go to the dumpster fire of CDK on a desktop to fix. Kind of kills the point of using the app…

There’s no flow to this system sadly. The VIN feature is very bad, takes a long time to scan the vin. Takes a long time to roll RO to print.

### ***** "More efficient and streamlined from 2.0 series"
This version of Lane is a much more efficient and streamlined write-up process with a few enhancements to some of the clunkiness of previous versions. The thumbnails of photos taken during the lane inspection is just one of the many features this version has improved over the 2.0 series. No need to move from tab to tab with all of the data needs located in separate boxes on one screen. Good app.
