Description

The circle of fifths (Sometimes called circle of fourths) is a great tool for understanding the music theory behind the 12 keys of the chromatic scale. It is useful for visualizing the music notation of the different scales, composing chord progressions/modulations and mixing in key.

Features:
- Color-coded relationship between the major, minor and diminished keys
- Key signature and triad for each key
- A sounded chord/arpeggio for each key (With mute/unmute toggle)
- Ability to lock the circle to currently selected key
- A tappable legend indicating the degree of each key in the currently selected group
- Several color schemes
- Modern UI following material design guidelines

Excellent

This is so very good, I’m amazed it is free. All the features of the circle of fifths theory are available at a glance. One minor thing that I’d like changed is to move the ‘arpeggiate’ option from settings to the main screen.

Here it is, neatly laid out for composers, teachers and students. This is a valuable aid for learning about musical relationships.

Poorly written app with no accessibility support

Sadly, for anyone with visual impairments making use of the built-in accessibility features of the iPhone, this application is sadly useless. I hope the developers may take the time to make this application more accessible in future releases.
