Frustrating!
Started off being able to use a piano keyboard option then it was suddenly removed with a guitar fretboard as the only option.

An absolute must for Piano and Guitar players. A very powerful tool which will help you to decipher songs with clarity unlocking the chords to all your songs.
I’d downloaded this app to help identify some chords in a song I was trying to learn. It doesn’t do that, that was my error. But what it does do, it does very well. What’s impressed me most though, is that the developer gives you a free trial to test out its features with no obligation. Many apps offer free trials that you then have to cancel before they expire or you are charged automatically. This app doesn’t do that. You have to opt in, not out. That the developer has chose this model when he could so easily have made a quick buck speaks volumes about his dedication, integrity, and confidence in his product. If you download this, and you’re in a position to do so, I highly recommend rewarding him with a subscription. He’s a rare breed.
This is a great app, I need to spend more time with it to discover everything it can do, but as far as I can tell it’s just a simple, powerful tool for identifying chords when your noodling on guitar or piano (or any instrument that can play a chord) I’d love it if the app also gave information about common chord progressions for the chord you are playing, so that if you hit on an obscure minor chord, then identify it with the app, the app could also offer commonly associated chords. This would make it an incredible tool for songwriting. It would also be cool if you could then click on the chord shapes/intervals for these progressions, to learn how to play them, as often if you hit on an obscure chord, the associated chords & progressions will be pretty rarified too. I think the app offers the notes in the scale of the chord you’ve played, which will help musicians improvise, but associated chords would be great too. It would also be good if you could save chords (and progressions) to a particular project rather than just under favourites. Then songwriters could save their noodled tunes and developing ideas for songs & solos there, rather than saving everything under one generic heading “favourites”. If you have several song ideas on the go, things can get a bit muddled with just one folder to save ideas. These would be major ‘in app’ developments, especially since the app caters for all chord based instruments, so there’ might be alot of research involved in finding the chord shapes of progressions across so many instruments. But since the app chargesa monthly/annual fee (not sure why - seems a bit exploitative) perhaps it’s possible. Anyway, a great start but four stars because it’s a subscription app yet is fairly simple. Maybe another developer will come out with a similar app for a much fairer price. Why is everything subscription now?
This came recommended to me by a professional musician -Paul Needs-& suggested it would help me in discovering chords I play that I do not know the name of. Hugely helpful app,the capo can be added for alternate tunings & is very useful if you are untrained in music as myself. 5 stars! I’d buy it again if necessary!
Absolutely brilliant. Couldn’t do without it. Excellent interface and totally reliable.
So...you’ve been trying to learn guitar at home and every tutorial on YouTube fails to tell you the chord name? Want to play your favourite song but paywalls and expensive guitar tutors only provide the “easy” or “free” options. Fret no more (see what I did there?)! This app will help you build the chords note-by-note, click play and you can check you’ve got it right AND you can wow friends by naming it. This nCoV19 lockdown has seen my playing come to life; the App has saved my sanity. Without Reverse Chord Pro, you are just guessing. Pick your favourite song - pause the video and let the App educate you. Forget expensive tutors - I wasted months at the Yamaha Music School. THIS app is brilliant IMHO.
As The title says...Brilliant App...‘nuff said...just buy it...worth every penny.
I'm always coming up with weird and wonderful chord shapes that I’m unable to identify. That's where this app comes in. Very useful indeed!
