NOT WORK
I am sure this app is great, judging from the screenshots, but my intended use for it was to set up barriers for my podcast player of choice, which is called “Snipd”, this app unfortunately doesn’t have the option to block it in the Automations. Once, again I am sure my rating doesn’t really reflect the quality of the app, but since I couldn’t even use it I am forced to give it 1 star. P.S. 1. I would like to see the apps that can be blocked featured on the App Store page, so people don’t have to download the app to find out. 2. I hope you add the option of blocking “Snipd” in the future, even though I acknowledge it isn’t as big as Instagram or Snapchat, or the other apps you do block. 3. I had the same problem with the app “one sec” and “screen zen” if anyone is interested
I’ve been using an app for a few days and I already noticed that when I’m opening an app I’m thinking about what I’m gonna do and what was the reason that made me do it. I find the limit that I put for myself (1-2-5-10 min) being especially useful, because I find myself quickly distracted for news on instagram and reminders that my time is ending takes me back to remembering “I opened it to do X”. My only suggestion would be to make an option *choose your own time in the app in this session*. Maybe there is one and I didn’t find it. Because sometimes I want to choose my time, and 10 min is not enough. Thank you for helping me on the journey of redefining relationship with social media spaces.
I saw my daily screen time drop 3.5hrs/day after installing and actually blocking the apps I spent the most time on. I feel like I’ve gained control over my phone, without having to make it a brick with no fun apps or social media downloaded at all. This app really does help you practice moderation, and makes it so much easier than if you were doing it by yourself. I’ll probably keep the pro version of this for at least the next 5 years. I can’t recommend it enough!
This doesn’t just limit your screen time, it helps create habits organically & instantly changed the way I use social media. I set my limit to 6 opens a day for a total of 1 hour max. I used to spend about 2.5 hours a day on social media mindlessly scrolling. In the upcoming year I am switching to the push-up challenge setting to see if it works just as well for me. Thank you to the folks at ClearSpace for creating this.
The only app that has truly made me reduce my screen time long term.
Waiting for a refund of my 7-day free trial. App doesn’t record pushups accurately
Thank you
I’ve been trying to limit my screen time for actual years but nothing sticks. I am truly addicted to my phone, and it doesn’t help that I have ADHD. This is the only thing that has worked. I love how I can still access restricted apps, so long as I do an exercise. This makes it impossible for me to spend 5-6 hours on YouTube and it forces me to prioritize my time so I’m actually using apps as I should! I also love that you can’t alter your settings until the challenge is over, and how you can sign up with people so there’s actual accountability. It’s been really annoying…but it’s saving my time. It’s been 3 days and my mental health has already improved a ton. Thank you creators of this app! 🙏🏼 I will be purchasing a subscription and telling everyone I know.
