Ever needed to organise a lot of information? Ever felt that you needed more from your Notes app? Are you a huge data nerd? Then Collections is for you! This app enables you to create complex databases quickly and beautifully. Since most apps these days are essentially just interfaces to view data, any application can be easily reduced to a spreadsheet once all the other features have been removed. As a developer myself, building good interfaces can be tedious and consuming. Sometimes, you don't want to engineer an entirely new piece of software just to store information, yet a spreadsheet can a cumbersome and lifeless substitution. This is where collections comes in... I recently took up the hobby of gardening and wished to digitally document information about plants. This would allow me to review previous methods and perform data analysis on my plants. Ultimately, this wish if fulfilled could allow me to understand plants on a new level entirely. Yet the only ideal way to display the information in the way I wanted was to develop my own app. Luckily I found Collections and was able to achieve my wish in a day. I now have an elaborate database on plants that is able to store all kinds of information. The app allows for the customisation of almost everything, meaning that it can handle anything from story planning to scientific recordings. The possibilities for this app are endless. My only criticism is that I would like more control over the appearance of text in the list view and the ability to flick through photo fields like a slideshow. 9/10 👏👏
I’m a heavy Notion and Monday user, and this app (at a fraction of the price) can do so much of what these big players can do. Highly recommend! I am blown away
The flexibility of this is awesome. I wanted a tracker for wines, beers, gins etc tasting notes; and this was flexible enought that I could create the fields I cared about, rather than fields other apps forced on you. Nice work!
I've used Filemaker for many years for my business. This App is now my new buddy. It's fantastic for one who wants to collect simple data yet POWERFUL AND EASY TO USE. You can create vast of data layouts but you have to learn its features. Connect with your iCloud makes you seamlessly use this App more efficiently. Thanks for making this App guys.
Like this app, easy to understand could be improved by more flexible reporting options especially in printing for a 5 rating
This is an unsolicited review. An awesome app that highlighy functional and can do most of what AirTable can do, however it syncs to iCloud so you can use it offline. You can create multiple databases and link records between them. Add predefined views with filters, quickly search, customise the display of the data to suit your needs and even build complex formulas and aggregate functions. More people need to find and use this app.
I love this little app but it could do with a couple of additions. I would love to be able to copy and move a document to different databases. At the moment you need to make a template then export that template, then import that template to a new database. You cannot just move 1 document from one database to another. The export/import function is dodgy too. Sometimes works, sometimes not. All in all not a bad little personal database.
Replacing HanDBase app since it is slowing down. Collections imports CSV and recognizes my lists. As of 2025 this is my go-to database. Still lots to learn about features but a big improvement is sync via iCloud to all my devices.
Please let us have unlimited entries for free I love this app but it’s limited and I wish it was not PLZ I WANNA KEEP TRACK OF MY DVDS AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
