Based on recommendations, I purchased this app to pair with a ELM327 using a Wifi. Through three vehicles (BMW, Toyota and Mini) and ten years most, if not all, attempts to pair app with OBDII wirelessly failed to connect. My iPhone picked up the OBDII Wifi connection but the app would not connect. Other apps connected on first attempt. I do not recommend this app, you’ll just waste your time and money.
I purchased this app to use for extra gauges that I used to monitor on my accessport but have gone open source. I have had to delete and reinstall the app once to fix the issue of it freezing while using and then freezing on the select your device screen after restarting the app. Now, tonight while using it, it froze, dropped connection, then failed to connect to my dongle. I closed the app and tried to reopen it just to have it freeze on the select your device screen yet again. I’ve used this app three times and two of those times it has failed to work properly. A complete waste of money.
The pop up Select your interface WILL NOT CLOSE. I CAN'T USE THE APP AND I PAID FOR THIS APP.
I can’t recall how long I’ve used this app. Been at least decade it seems. And has never failed me. Every time I went to use it it did not gar was needed
Been using this app for years. Astounding that it hasn’t been integrated with CarPlay. If that is due to a decision made by this company rather than Apple, that’s pathetic.
It reads everything
Worked fine a few days ago (with just the usual bugs/annoyances). Then one day it displayed the terms & conditions for me to accept, which was weird (out of nowhere, apparently — no recent app-update I’m aware of). Then it told me to choose my OBD dongle; mine isn’t on the list, but it’s worked okay for the past year or so. I hit “OK” or “Cancel”, either one seemed to work. Then, at various times, the gauge for speed & RPM showed me zeroes, or accurate RPM but zero speed, and “N/A” for other stats (MPG, drive-time, temps, etc). And now the choose-device popup won’t go away no matter what I do. So apparently the app is broken and my $20 is down the drain.
App works great. Gives the info you need quickly. The only issue is that it sometimes takes a minute to connect to my OBD wireless interface, but I think that is a hardware issue, not the app. Recommend!
It provided useful information but you really have to buy the extra package. It would be helpful if it came with a better tutorial and better screenshots of each dashboard so I knew what to pick. Explanation of what it’s measuring and the meaning. Might help stay ahead of problems.
