Death Road to Canada is a Randomly Generated Road Trip Action-RPG. You manage a group of jerks as they explore cities, find weird people, and face up to 500 zombies at once. Everything's randomized: locations, events, survivor personalities and skills. There's a different story every time you play.

Travel the Death Road from Florida to Canada, the last nation on Earth. Find special events, rare encounters, and unique recruits. Recruit a grunting super-bodybuilder who's strong enough to pick up and throw the car. Try to teach a dog how to walk upright and shoot a minigun.

Most of all, get eaten by enormous hordes of slow, classic-style zombies.

DEATH ROAD FEATURES:

- Designed for massive amounts of replay value.
- Character Maker lets you put friends and family into the game.
- Meet your custom characters during your travels. Get them eaten by mistake or on purpose.
- Make tough choices in text events that change depending on your group.
- Your team has different personalities, and someone may betray the others. Be careful!
- Lots and lots of secret events and unique characters with special abilities.
- Equip a wide variety of different weapons. Splat zombies with a flamethrower, battleaxe, hockey stick, wizard staff (lightning bolt), Mjolnir, boomerang, and much more.
- Canada jokes written by a real Canadian so they're 100% accurate.
- Get rid of all humans and make an entire team composed of dogs driving the car.
- Airhorn weapon with incredibly realistic, computer-generated airhorn sounds.

Absolutely brilliant game!!

Trust me on it on

A must buy for any zombie apocalypse lover, love every minute of the game so far and much more to come ☝🏻. 10/10 in my eyes

Great, but could have more customisation

Scarab_44 on

This has been one of my favourite games for a long time. The rush of adrenaline when you are cornered is great, not something you usually see in a mobile game. I think maybe the character customisation could be improved though, maybe by adding the ability to create animals as your main character.

Great game. Let down by disappearing save

DividedGibon on

Firstly I have to say this is a fantastic, well designed and thought out game. The ‘retro’ 16bit look is perfectly executed and the art is great. Play is well balanced, if a little difficult at point but this doesn’t distract from the immersion. You’ll die a million times over but you keep going back for more. The price is a little on the high side but you can see the dev time investment and I think it’s therefor worth it. Unfortunately all of the positivity is dashed by save loss. I’ve played this game for 20hrs+, unlocking a good chunk, but launched today to find all of my save information gone and no way to recover. I can’t seem to locate a cloud save mechanism to restore it. It’s a pity but I can’t give a game of this price a good rating if progress is at risk of being lost throughout play. I’d request my money back but doubt I’d be successful. Devs please investigate/fix/implement cloud save.

Brilliant

So brilliant, clever, and unique. Very witty, too: one of those few games when you feel the developers are always a few steps ahead of you. Can’t wait to see what’s next.

Loads of fun

LimLom723 on

This game is absolutely perfect for people looking for a game that is long, sometimes challenging but overall very satisfying when you reach the goal. Throwing yourself, family, friends and more into a road trip apocalypse is just as fun as it sounds with lighthearted scenarios that can get way more exciting later on, when any event could lead to something as simple as a stat increase or catastrophic as losing half your team. To sum it up, this game is great and, ironically, perfect for those looking for something to play in a road trip. If I have one complaint it’s that scenarios where you make supply stops in standard locations (such as cities) can get a little repetitive after a while. But luckily, these are evened out by insane scenarios that come along later.

Needs static joystick control

Faidheanta on

I got this game on steam after seeing peanut butter gamer play it on PB&Jeff a couple of years ago. When I found I could play it on mobile my eyes lit up. However, the current movement controls are rather difficult to use, I find myself dying regularly due to issues with movement. An option to fix the joystick in a custom (or even set standard position) similar to most other mobile games would be greatly appreciated. I find the dynamic nature of the current one somewhat confusing, and so does my character apparently.

Amazing Game

This game is so great with its content and replayability and I live the graphics the humour all of it but one thing: no multiplayer on mobile but still an awesome app still playing it totally worth it I recommend it to everyone who can get it! 5 Stars!

One of my favourites

Shazz07 on

I admit I thought this game was a bit pricey at first, however considering I’ve probably lost days playing this game, the price is definitely worth it. Being able to have a team of dogs is probably my most favourite aspect of this game, if I can abandon all humans to have a team of zombie killing dogs in a van I absolutely will. The only thing that could maybe improve this game is having a multiplayer option, I would love nothing more to smash 8bit zombies to pieces with friends.

LOST EVERYTHING!

Hukmmonbeats on

Everything has been deleted! My saves gone! I had everything, now it’s gone!

Amazing...buuuut

Danis9! on

I love this game, the graphics, the story, the humor. However, I don’t play the game very much any more, due to a lack in multiplayer. If there was a multiplayer option then I would play this with my family and friends way more often. Sincerely The Mittens.
