User notes:
The application is available for anyone to download, but you have to be a Discovery member with at least one active Discovery product and must register on the Discovery website (www.discovery.co.za) before you can log in on the Discovery app. You will use the same username and password for the app as for the Discovery website.
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. This App reads / writes data from Apple’s Health App with your permission. Earn Vitality points for your workouts from the Health App.

Usability is shocking
Like most of Discovery’s interfaces (apart from their banking app), usability is shocking.
You can do a lot with this app, but good luck finding your way around. As an example: it’s been years that I’ve been using it but I still am rarely able to claim rewards and use vouchers when I need them. It’s so deeply hidden within the interface that I have to figure it out from scratch each time. Mostly I just give up.
App gives issues when retrieving vouchers
Overall I’m a massive fan of Discovery. I think what they do for South African society is amazing and the entrepreneurial excellence behind this company is incredible. But… Every time I get to a Mugg and bean to buy a coffee with a voucher, the app glitches in some way. It either doesn’t load the voucher, or loads 2 vouchers, or it won’t log in at all. It can be very frustrating when you’re in a rush. And even more frustrating when this happens more than 50% of the time.
App is glitchy
App is often glitchy and hard to use. Even though I linked my health app to the Discovery app, it did not pull my data through for months on end.
Generate Vitality Active Reward Vouchers
Being a Discovery Bank customer I now have to play the game board and generate vouchers in the banking app rather than using the Discovery app. I generated a rewards voucher in the banking app and have the following comments: 1. The voucher is only valid for the day on which it is generated and not for a longer period as was the case when banking customers could use the Discovery or app. 2. I don’t use data on my phone and as the voucher is saved within the banking app, I cannot access it in store as I don’t use data - previously I could save the voucher to the wallet app on my iPhone. I chatted to Danielle on the Discovery Chatbot and she assured me I can still generate my vouchers in the Discovery app, but this is incorrect. When trying to generate the vouchers in the Discovery app I am informed that I now need to do this in the banking app. Two options are presented to the customer to either Cancel the request or Confirm. By choosing Confirm customers are rerouted to the banking app. Danielle confirmed that if I use the Cancel button I will be able to use the Discovery app to generate vouchers as was the case prior to the Vitalith Rewards being moved to the banking app. However all the Cancel button cancels the request and one stays in the Discovery app. I am not happy with this change and Discovery need to find a workable solution for users that don’t use data e.g. revert to doing this in the Discovery app. On a closing note I sent 2 emails to Complaints at Discovery Bank about a week ago and despite sending reminders, no response has been received from Discovery Bank. And one cannot use the Chatbot for the bank. Come on Discovery!!!
Pathetic
Your app is not useable. Improve on your UX and UI. It never works when I need to access my Vitality account. It just hangs and doesn’t fetch any data. I’d rate this a -1 if it had that option. Please get better devs than Entellect
Your app is pathetic
When I login the stupid app it tells me the password is wrong and then leaves me on a blank page which I can’t move from. I am so sick of Discovery, and guaranteed this message goes to a stupid robot. Get your acts together you poor customer handling people
I have to log in AND use FaceID? WUT?
Every time I open the app I am prompted to log in…then it asks if I want to use FaceID—which of course I do, so I say yes…and then I repeat this process when I open the app again later.

Terrible
Terrible app! So slow, the rewards system is often not working so I can’t redeem my rewards, interface not intuitive. Needs a lot of work!
