Description

DOT Tickets app is developed and owned by Din Offentlige Transport (DOT). DOT is a partnership between the traffic companies DSB, Movia and Metroselskabet to help create a better and more cohesive public transport system on Zealand, Lolland, Falster and Møn.
DOT Tickets app makes it easy to buy tickets and monthly passes for journeys on Zealand, Lolland, Falster and Møn.
You can purchase tickets by entering your place of departure and arrival, either in the form of a stop, address, or place. You can also pick the zones you wish to travel from and to on the map. The 2-8 zones fast purchase is relevant for you, if you know how many zones you need from where you are. You can use that feature, if you give the app your permission to localization (GPS) so that the app can determine your start zone. Giving your permission to localization, which is voluntary, can also help you determine your location on the map versus your ticket's validity area.
Monthly passes can be purchased by entering your place of departure and arrival. You can also pick the zones manually on the map if you travel between 2 and 8 zones.
You can purchase these tickets in DOT Tickets app:
• Zone tickets for 2-8 zones
• Tickets for 9+ zones between a departure and arrival zone
• Commuter cards with Metro and DSB 1’ Regional Train as an optional add-on
• Commute20 with Metro and DSB 1’ Regional Train as an optional add-on
• Bicycle Metro
• Supplementary Ticket for Commuter Card (1 zone)
• DSB 1’ Regional Train supplementary ticket
• City Pass Small for zones 1-4 (24, 48, 72, 96 or 120 hours)
• City Pass Large for zones 1-99 (24, 48, 72, 96 or 120 hours)
• City Pass X-Large for zones 1-299 (24 hours)
• City Pass West for zones 101-199 (24 hours)
• City Pass South for zones 201-299 (24 hours)
• Event ticket Small for zones 1-4 (12 hours) and Event ticket Large for zones 1-99 (12 hours), available for limited periods in connection with events
• 12-hour ticket East, West and South for free traveling on Saturdays and Sundays for a limited period (December 2023 – February 2024)

These monthly passes can be purchased in other sales channels, but are displayed in DOT Tickets app:

• Youth Card
• Employee Travel Pass
• Company travel Pass

Departure boards

You can create personal departure boards for your preferred transportation for all stations and stops on Zealand, Lolland, Falster and Møn filtered by the lines you want to follow.

On your departure board, you can see if there are delays or cancellations .

When you create a departure board, you can get notifications about planned changes and you can add the board as a widget on your smartphone's home screen, so you always have it close at hand.

Doesn’t seem to work with non-Danish phones

Math99 on

No SMS message came through to register to my UK phone…

Useless!

1click on

I downloaded this as my friend recommended it when travelling around Copenhagen. I can’t even get past the first stage to get the SMS code at the start once the app has been downloaded. This is one app, I’ll happily delete!

Good app

Quick and easy to use

Pretty significant issues

foacant on

Important note: if you have a commuter card, you can not have it on multiple devices, make sure if you transferred it over to a different device one day you transfer it back otherwise it will not show up. The app does not run smoothly and sometimes you can’t see the gif QR code on the commuter card and I got a fine because of it. Please fix the layout issues :(

5 different cards refused from 3 different people

Cards that are working all fine anywhere else in Copenhagen

Credit card hangs but purchase works

Slochmuller on

Added Mastercard but hangs in adding screen even though successful. Then paid for two tickets using above card and hangs again on payment screen even though successful. Paid without adding alternative Visa card so ended up with duplicate purchases. Only phone help number no English online contact service.

Quick and Efficient!

We are visiting from London. Love the app! Quick and easy to navigate…even for tourists!!

Terrible app and even worse customer service

Anithaly on

They have English language, but they don’t allow foreigners to pay by popular debit cards. This is confusing. You add the payment card but you can’t pay with it - you are redirected to another payment app, where you can create an account but only with danish phone number. The app crashes on iPhone 11 Pro when adding a new payment card. The app is unusable.

Unknown error

Tried buying a 3 zone ticket. Getting server timeouts and eventually bought a paper ticket. My credit card now shows three charges.
