Enables me to maximise the energy produced by my solar panels instead of selling it extortionately cheap to EDF
I have microinvertors with no battery. The reporting features seem to be predicated on a ‘Net Metering’ system not used in the UK. I have CT clamps on PV output and my single phase (L-N) grid connection and expect simple reports for both PV generation and grid import/export.
This app is awful for UK users. Comeon Enphase, give me the features I need, that you already provide to US customers? 1. No profile options other than 1 default. I need more intelligent profiles to suit changes in habits and weather. 2. Not able to turn off battery when I charge my car at night. It drains battery down to 6% exhaustion, automatically shutting it down, so I have no battery in the morning and it will reduce the longevity of my battery. I only want to charge an EV car from grid at night and not use up battery cycles, which will never be enough anyway. 3. Not able to set percentage discharge and max charge levels to prolong battery health. Running battery all the way down to 6% is not good for battery health. I need to be able to set a higher discharge depth. 4. Ability to remotely turn battery off and set off schedule. You provide these features to the US market, they're promoted on your website. Very disingenuous to not make it clearer the poor offering you give to your UK customers.
Just had Soly install my panels and battery. excellent friendly team, nothing too much trouble and now enjoying monitoring during these mainly gloomy winter months looking forward to increasing yields as the year progresses. Thankyou Soly.
Enphase just isn’t thought through. I’ve had a system four months and the app consistently misreports, or shows errors. No amount of effort, on my installer’s part, has got Enphase to resolve the errors or inaccurate data reported in the app. The big sell by Enphase is this app. It’s supposed to show detailed information beyond its competitors, but at the moment it falls far short. After-sales support is worthless. They’re basically unhelpfully ignoring me and my installer. This app and the system need to be made significantly better.
Most of the functionality that makes this app useful is not actually available it seems. My system is fitted but I can’t see any information about my battery, consumption from grid etc. kind of makes it a pointless app. Very disappointed.
Battery not showing as part of the set up… Often in error and the help forum doesn’t seem to work - but I can see others have posted but can’t access them.
It would be really useful if you could get a real time read out per panel and toggle between that and cumulative.
Regarding the review below, I contacted their support yet again and as per usual got a load of tosh for a reply. Yet again, I told them that the tariff information wasn’t being used correctly and due to this their app is grossly exaggerating the cost savings and once again got a reply telling me how to enter the tariff details which as they should know from my previous emails has already been entered but is not being used correctly by their app. Their support team don’t seem to understand the basics of their app. Not impressed at all and if I could find out how to contact their director I would but so far their only contact is via their support team which is less than useless. Come on people, sort this mess. Just started using the Enlighten App and after carefully entering the tariff info into the installer app then find it is not being used correctly when showing savings as a cost. E.g cost for todays output shows as saving me x amount If you divide the £ amount by the kWh you get the tariff used to calculate this value. Today is a Sunday and my tariff for Sunday is approx half my peak tariff yet the calculation shows it is using my peak tariff. Also, the tariff needs to take into account that the weekend period starts late Friday I.e 10:00 pm in summer 9:00 pm in winter and ends Monday 8:00am in summer and 9:00am in winter I.e not simply midnight Friday to midnight Sunday. Also found a few other bugs but will highlight these when I have fully reviewed the app. Contacted their support as they suggested and got a patronising pile of tosh for a reply. Totally agree with Si Nats 3 years ago, no thought whatsoever as to what the end user would actually find useful. I don’t get paid for export as self install and with EDF so most useful calculation for me would be simply (Consumed minus Imported) calculated using correct Tariff details being that I went to the trouble of entering this data in the installer toolkit. Will contact the director of the company for his/her view on poor software app for an absolutely brilliant Hardware System.
une application géniale pour surveiller mes panneaux photovoltaïques et utiliser ma consommation. cependant, maintenant, depuis deux jours, je ne parviens pas à lancer l'application.
