Slow to process receipt…still waiting after 7 minutes?

It’s been a terrible experience
No longer able to login
No support outside of the app
Not reliable. Smart scan fails constantly.
User for a year. Worked fine to begin with. Then, an update. App no longer scans receipts. Has been an issue for 3 months. After hours on chat, all they can suggest is I enter in manually. What’s the point of the app? Reporting incident to regulator.
The login flow is cumbersome
The app logs you out regularly. To log in again, the send a code to my email, so I have to sign in to my email. This is manageable but so much slower than using a username, password, and OTP via my password manager. This frustrates me every week or two.
You better like logging in
App doesn’t keep you logged in. Infuriating. Need to receive an emailed code every login, even with 2FA off. Horrible.
Magic Link makes Expensify unusable
The new magic link login makes Expensify practically unusable. I don’t have my work email on my phone, so I can’t receive the login link unless I’m in front of my computer. So no more uploading travel receipts as I go - which used to be the biggest benefit of Expensify
Slow and logs out often
Smart scan isn’t all that smart and is very slow. Don’t use it for 2 days, have to log in again and can’t just log in with a passcode. So sick of waiting for this app.
Confusing and expensive
The free trial was great but after expiry I couldn’t access all my scanned receipts. They only showed a blurry preview. Not cool. Lost tons of money in tax return because of this.
