Use to be so good… now it’s trash
This app used to be so good. About three years ago, I started using this app, and I told my colleagues about it and we all were hooked. It was great. It’s amazing how much junk they started adding onto this app to the extent where it’s completely pointless. Too many ads, too many useless bells and whistles, trying to integrate AI for a very simple tool that worked so well. From a business standpoint, it’s very clear that they’ve either hire too many people and are trying to justify themselves as a business by charging more for effectively “doing more,” when really they’re just creating more noise and losing more people. This was a good app, and they spoiled it by not realizing that it reached its potential peak, and instead of appreciating the fact that it plateaus, they insist on just making it more terrible by trying to integrate AI into something that literally is an age old principal (fasting). Three years later and here I am talking to all of my colleagues (at least 30 of them who have downloaded the app with me when we first started using it), all who collectively agree that it’s gone down the crapper and no longer use it anymore. This is coming from a group of project managers, data engineers, health nuts, physicians, nutritionists. We no longer recommend this app to our patients at all. At the time our patients used to love it, and now, they’ve presented us with alternatives that have significantly less noise. Any developers for this company would be prudent to actually listen and heed to this review
Ad-ridden trash app
I used Fastic 3 years ago and loved it. I just came back to it and it’s as-ridden junk. I feel like I just clicked on a click-bait website. You’re going to make me watch a 90-second ad for a video game just to start a fast on your app?! Deleting this from my phone NOW.
Ads have taken over!
Had this app for 5 years. Really liked it. Now ads pop up and don’t leave. They that don’t allow me to collect stars. No customer service to help with this
Almost pay-to-use
Fastic is a very good app for tracking fasting times and stages, but it seems that every feature other than that is locked behind a paywall. This plus constant ads make the app a pain to use and generally unhelpful, I find downloading other apps is a more effective option.
Click Bait
You have to answer a gazillion of questions and don’t even get to the app without paying, so you can’t even try it.
Good but notifications are ridiculous
It’s a great app, but the notifications about offers and upgrades come way too often and there’s no way to turn them off without blocking notifications completely. It gets ridiculous and annoying to keep getting them, and I don’t want to turn them off completely so I can remember to start the timer. Please fix this
Tiring process
Once you log in with an email, no way to log out until the whole sign up process is over. Fell into this trap while trying to find the old account I had. Then the sign up process seems to never end. Question after question, and the questions are useless as well. Such a long winded tiring process makes this app really useless. Even funnier, at the end it shows a facade like giving you discount, and moreover doesn't even let you get into the app without paying. This is the biggest pile of garbage I've ever seen an app turn into.
Wow
You do the whole test to be told that you have to pay monthly or yearly to use the application you can bypass that only to be able to not see your calorie count or do anything besides manually enter food.. you can’t even enter water.
Can’t login
I was enjoying this app until the last update for my iPhone. After that I always get the login page. I don’t remember my password and there is no option to recover or change it. I have emailed customer service, but have not received any response. I paid for this app, and now it’s useless. HELP!!!
