Use flashcards, spaced-repetition, and your Apple Pencil to study with Feyn!
Taking your own notes by hand and spaced-repetition are the best way to learn new concepts, and with Feyn you can do just that. Open up a book on your iPad and comfortably draw your flashcards right there using your Apple Pencil in Feyn. The flashcards are phone-sized so that you can then take them on the go and comfortably review them on your iPhone! Their vertical shape also makes them easy to write while multi-tasking on your iPad, and perfect for learning languages written top to bottom like Japanese. If you don't feel like drawing, just type some text using your keyboard or drop images into your flashcards.
In this way, you *learn* on your iPad as you think of how to you summarize new concepts into flashcards, and *memorize* on your iPhone while you review them on the go!
Feyn is fully featured, you can share flashcard to study with your friends. Your flashcards will automatically synchronize between your devices using your iCloud drive. Feyn also supports iOS' Quick Note, Handoff, and keyboard input: type away on your iPad or on our macOS app!
Feyn uses spaced repetition to aid in learning. It will ask you to review flashcards depending on how well you recall them, flashcards you miss will be asked more often, and flashcards you get right less often. This way you minimize the total time you spend studying and maximize retention!
Feyn Pro ads some nice to have extra features like study charts, to see how well you're learning, and flashcard importing. All other features are free and unrestricted. We guarantee that you will always be able to have a complete study experience for free.

The app is great but now that I’ve made flashcards on my Ipad they aren't syncing to my phone like they should.
I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong or there’s a problem with the app but it says flashcards will automatically sync across iCloud devices but they aren’t.
Please could you fix this because without this major problem this is the best flashcards app out there.
really want to use this
I really want to use this for my maths flashcards but I had to switch to anki for a couple reasons.
As far as i’m aware there’s no way to backup notes in such a way that I would be able to access them if the app were to lose support eventually.
Also, some more spaced repetition options like being able to configure the intervals would be amazing and if the app were to get these features i wouldn’t mind paying a decent price just because the rest of the app works so well.
Amazingly effective revision
This is the best substitute I have seen for a digital version of paper flash cards gruels brilliant. The only issue I haven’t been able to figure out is how to ‘paste’ drawings without drag and drop for example when did the answers on the question side and was able to cut the drawings but not paste them. I probably am doing it wrong but would recommend to anyone who has an iPad perfect format and much better than spending hours doing paper revision cards and losing a few
How to find untagged cards
1. For some cards while making them, I like to tag them with keywords to find things quicker. However, sometimes I need to create a new tag, but can’t because I’m busy making a group of cards in one go. Would it possible to have a ‘find untagged cards’ tool please.
2. I can’t seem to edit the name of the tags or even have an option to remove them; it could turn into a clutter.

Needs pressure
I like the idea of drawing flash cards instead of typing them, but I’d like to be able to change the pressure sensitivity so I don’t need to press hard to get consistent lines. I’d also like to be able to zoom in so I could draw better pictures of varying detail. If these features were added in the next update, this would be my primary app for making flash cards 🙂
Good start
This app has so much potential especially to help with my a levels. However, how are you meant to make folders for each different subject and topics?
GREAT FOR VISUAL LEARNERS
I am doing A levels and it is amazing way to condense images by just using pictures/diagrams and only key terms. Only downside is that I would like it to be available in other stores so I can use it on my laptop :(
Loving it so far
Really loving the app so far, it’s really nice to have a flashcard app that you can carry around with you everywhere but still be able to write them yourself and customise them how you like. It’s also so good having spaced repetition so that you can learn everything efficiently. I know it’s still in it’s early staging so I’m looking forward to future updates when there are more features but so far, great app well done !
Great revision app but..
Honestly this app is great, but I have one thing which I would appreciate being added (unless I just don’t know how to!) it would be great if we could name our cards, so that it’s automatically put in alphabetical order which will make it easier to look at everything as a whole.
Apart from that, I would definitely recommend and will be using this for GCSE studying!
