First Tech Federal CU Reviews

Keeps logging me out

Mhsmith68 on

United States

Current version logs me in with Face ID. After a few seconds checking on accounts, a popover appears and asks me to log in again. This cycle only happens once during a session but if I exit the app, do other things and then return some time later, the cycle will repeat. I have deleted and reinstalled the app - same problem. Is this a bug with the app that needs to be remedied?

Need to see running balance

Can you please make it possible to see the running balance of my account, on the ipad.

they will advertise the color of your underwear to make one more cent of you

stay away from that bank They changed their privacy policy and are now selling your data to anyone willing to buy. I have requested to opt out 7 time, called, sent emails They refuse to send me an acknowledgement i opted out and that they will commit fraud when they sell my data How can you trust a bank with your money when they will tell everyone everything about up? Seriously, don’t use them.

Works well except for transaction alerts

Arani B on

United States

No complaints for this app except transaction alerts which are always delayed by few hours up to few days. I never receive transaction alerts at the time of transaction which is the whole point of transaction alerts. Every other card issuer offers this service without any such issue. Hopefully the app developers fix this.

New update made deposits a black font

Ben Carroll on

Not sure why they would change deposits from a green font to a black font (same as debits/withdrawals) but it makes no sense. Way less clear. Also really need dark mode.

I love the service of this bank!

JohannaHD on

All the workers are very friendly, I went last week to ask some questions, a very kind lady helped me, Nuria, she was very accurate and kind with her answers, she gave me advice and gave me the steps I had to follow, really very satisfied with how they treated me and made me feel welcome.

Good app for mobile banking, has security hole

Avid reader 123 on

While traveling overseas I had my phone stolen. Although I contacted AT&T and had the phone disabled, blocked and erased. Because this cannot be guaranteed I wanted to change the contact phone numbers on all my apps. FTFCU’s app requires sending a code to the phone number on record before it can change the number. I concede that this is a good think, but because the phone number in question has been stolen that mechanism does not work. So no problem right? I can just call support and have the number change. Much like you would do if your credit card were compromised. Except after hours support cannot do this so you have wait until the morning team shows up. In the mean leaving a potential security hole in your online/mobile banking strategy. Seems that if after hour support can be trusted to cancel credit and debt cards they should able change contact numbers to protect the customer base.

I love first tech and I’m a lifer with them. They really do look out for their members with reasonable interest rates, and high credit limits. I’ve fallen in love with the new personal line of credit account they got for me so I can borrow cash instantly whenever I need and for every hundred it’s only 4 cents a day interest. You CANT beat that. App can use some modern improvements obviously but everything is functional. Would love for the Zelle feature to also run smoother and not so delayed and choppy feeling but that works too. Looking forward to what they continue to offer going forward for their consumers

Needs DarkMode

Bobjoerules on

Pretty good for banking but it needs a DarkMode theme

Fair App but not bad for being free in price.

Geodov on

United States

This would be a better app if it worked in landscape mode on iPad also. Another problem is the App Support link leads you to the First Technology CU website only to display a 404 error, page not found. I guess you are on your own if you use this app.
