FreshBooks Invoicing App

After this update the app won’t track mileage and it gets stuck in the setup loop asking me to make changes in setting to ALWAYS allow tracking. I make the changes and it kicks me out of the setup process. Mileage tracking was spotty before this but now it’s unusable.

Been using FreshBooks for 5 years. Unfortunately the app will not stay logged in and constantly requires authenticating. May have to migrate to a competitor.

I expected more from this app, assuming it would be similar to the Quickbooks app. I'm disappointed in the limitations of the app, finding it useful for only time keeping and mileage tracking. Don't expect to edit expenses or do any actual accounting through the app. They promote this as an invoicing app, but I find even that to be clunky and far less productive than the desktop web version. Most frustrating of all, this app is just plain glitchy. More often than not, it freezes, closes, or simply just doesn't respond to commands (i.e., type an entry, hit enter, and nothing happens). As a self-employed individual, having a functional accounting app is critical for me. I'm going back to Quickbooks...it's more expensive, but it's reliable and the app is much more functional.

This app works only when it wants. It’s a troublesome app and makes a simple task turn into a daunting job. Once you enter a service or item, the app does not let you change or remove that item or service, therefore making a laundry list of items or tasks. App will tell you that item or service has already been used and will not let you proceed with your input.

App is designed well, but crashes often and has errors when submitting invoices. Clients can only pay the invoice half of the time, the other half of the time they can only view the invoice.

So I decided to use Fresh Books despite all the negative thing’s I’ve heard. About how business owners had to wait months for their deposits to reach their accounts saying that their companies were high risk or requiring other documentation about the business or the person. Well it happened to me and you can’t talk to anyone unless they call you. I’ve been waiting on my money for a long time and still haven’t resolved the situation as of yet. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEM‼️

The page freezes up on the website and on the app. Useless!

As soon as I signed up with gmail I was creating my first invoice and started getting error code , I closed the app to restart it could no longer log in. First impression is the most important and this one was terrible! Don’t Download!

I’ve used this app for 8 years and have struggled the entire time. Every single time I open up the app, it’s a crapshoot. I never know if my invoices or estimates are going to load. Worst of all, I can work on a bunch of edits and it doesn’t save. How hard can it be? Why do all the other apps on my phone work flawlessly and this one soils the bed every single time. Please fix this app. This is the fifth review I’ve left and still no change. I can’t believe the developers have the audacity to send updates that announce “bug fixes,” yet literally nothing changes. Still the same terrible user experience. It’s almost like you guys are trying to ruin my day on purpose. I can’t express enough how much of an inconvenience this app actually is. I’m typically not a person who gets angry easily (never experienced road rage of any kind) but I’ve seriously thought about throwing my phone at the wall multiple times while using this app. Using this app is literally the only experience I could think of that had raised my blood pressure beyond healthy levels. Please stop torturing us.

It’s pretty convenient and has lots of great features , I’ve used it for a couple years for my business , but it regularly has bugs and has to be deleted and re downloaded on IOS, a few times there hasn’t been a fix and have to use the website instead of the app, customer support is helpful in all the tough situations though
