The FUJIFILM Camera Remote is an application provided by FUJIFILM that can operate wireless-equipped digital cameras by remote control to shoot images and to view images and movies in the camera and to transfer them to smartphones or tablets. And it also supports the cameras that offers Bluetooth® capability. Pair it with your smartphones or tablet devices, it synchronizes "date and time" and/or "location information" of your smartphone or tablet devices with the cameras that offers Bluetooth® capability. In advanced of shooting, to easily transfer pictures you have taken to the smartphones or tablet device via this application. Bluetooth wireless remote shutter release can be used for cameras that offers Bluetooth® capability. In addition, firmware update is now supported from your smartphone or tablet devices via Bluetooth without the need of a SD memory card.

Connection to phone issues

What is meant to be a great app is flawed. I can never connect my phone to the app so can’t transfer photos. It is such a pain

Only use IF you want to transfer images

This app should be renamed Fujifilm image transfer. It works well, apart from being a really slow process to connect each time (unlike Canon who got it right, connects seemlessly without you doing much). The saddest part is that this app has not changed in the last 7 years. It had these shortcoming more than 7 years ago, it still has them. The only updates this app receives is compatibility with new model releases or if firmware updates on those bodies require a connection update with this app. I believe there is a thirdparty app that is pricey, but actually works.

When will this app get an overhaul??

Terrible connectivity ( infamous in fact). Terrible UI design ( no rotate screen option?) And no updates in sight. Have Fujifilm abandoned this app?

Won’t connect - I’ve tried everything to fix the issue.

What’s keeping Fujifilm back?

Fuji’s menus and apps are keeping them from becoming truly professional friendly products. This app will never survive a professional shoot. You’ll just embarrass yourself in front of your clients.

Absolutely useless

Impossible to connect to my phone or any others, when you are patient enough to connect it is so unstable the transfer cuts before it’s complete. This app is over 4 years old with a horrible rating, why would Fujifilm not make a new one or at least update it!

Very painful

Keeps asking to join network using wifi and not bluetooth. I need my wifi to remain available for other essential functions and not constantly connect and disconnect. The auto transfer via bluetooth also asks to join wifi. Transfer stops because the app is not able to disable the camera auto off function. The screen contrast in daylight makes it very hard to see the connection status and anything else. Such great cameras deserve a much better app.

Buggy

Connectivity issues, lag with monitor mirroring (despite fast WiFi). Could be so much better.
