First Case
Getting electric car was frustrating as people dont charge the battery after use, GetGo does not impose a fine on those who do not charge the car with low battery. I had to forego my work (service related) and incur losses because someone forgot to charge and it took so long to charge up the car. Getgo only gave back a 25% off capped at $20? ($4) where I incurred $100+ losses.
Second Case
App glitched as I wanted to extend my booking, and so I was rushing to go somewhere, only to find out that it was not extended. Incurred $100 late fee. Safe to say, the late fee, not worth the convenience of a car at all, better off with a taxi or something. Not to mention if any accident, pretty much screwed. So no thanks, Im Deleting This App and would recommend others to do so too.
Terrible customer service experience in crisis and unreasonable SOP
The service team is incapable of solving problems and crisis and not able to help customers, just stick to rigid SOP and not helpful at all.
Im pretty sure if u use this app for long time, you will experience how helpless it can be to talk to live chat. And apparently from other’s feedback long while ago, getgo is not willing to improve this area after so long time.
When the app or car has problem, the customer assistant still takes his/her sweet time to chat slowly with customer, while customer is standing in hot/raining weather and has to wait for them to slowly chat to solve the problem. And in the end, if it causes extra late fee due to app or car paoblem, they will tell u sorry they cannot waive it, but you need to fill form and subject to approval.
No matter how you reason with them that it is their problem, they will tell u sorry, you have to swallow it and blame on your bad luck.
Used to be good platform to rent car
Been using this app for quite sometime. Nowadays every log in require additional verification but unsuccessful due to network communication problem. Did a live chat with the operator and it takes time to solve the problem. Always require to take selfie with driving license/remove app follow by re-download app/on-off bluetooth and mobile phone then it solve. Following day wanted to book the car, there goes the issue again. Price going up but car & app didnt upgrade.

I’m a frequent Getgo user and i will totally recommend this platform to those who loves to drive around SG but doesn't own a personal vehicle. Its a great platform if you need an “every or any day running errands” kinda vehicle or even taking your family out kinda day.
Failed badly on face recognition feature
Getgo is a five-star car sharing app when everything goes well but downgraded to a one-star app when there is a problem.
The face recognition feature failed badly. I have been the victim of this feature for the past 2 years. Despite highlighting to GetGo Team more than 5 times at different occasions, nothing has been done to rectify the problem.
In addition, the respond from GetGo compliance team is extremely slow. It can take anywhere between 3 days to 10 days before you get a respond from GetGo compliance team.
Totally disappointed with GetGo compliance team this time in May-2024. I failed face recognition again whenever GetGo updated their app. It took 3-4 days for GetGo compliance team to reply my email.
After providing my driving licence (front and back) and a photo of myself holding the driving licence to the GetGo compliance team, they reset the face recognition only and requested me to re-do face recognition again. The GetGo compliance team is so inexperienced and caused additional inconvenience to me again. I tried the face recognition feature again and it locked my account again after 5x failed attempts.
Now I need to wait for another God knows how many days before GetGo compliance team responded to my email. The GetGo compliance team should bypass or turn off the face recognition feature after receiving all documents to prove my authenticity instead of giving me the additional inconvenience to re-try the face recognition feature.
If GetGo can continue to allow such poor and slow respond of their compliance team to exist, I believe not only me but many GetGo users will just delete this app and go with their competitors instead.
Such attitude from GetGo directly reflects how poor their top management team is on address the level of customer service attitude and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Lesser discount vouchers recently
Hi, I have been using Getgo since it started its business and initially the vouchers are all very good but i guess like other startup apps, the vouchers will disappear once they have reached a steady state of customers.
Most of the vouchers given now are not customer friendly. Loyal customers like myself should have some additional perks.
Problem free
Problem free app and service so far. Can’t find fault as it remains reliable. And that’s the most important thing over other frills.
Love the service, annoying app
GetGo is great for A to B to A drives; ie you have to park back where you started. Ok rates. Good promos from time to time. Love that you can book ahead. Gives a lot of certainty when planning.
Would love 3 things:
(1) fix the app when it disconnects from the car's bluetooth and you have to restart the app to lock/unlock. Very irritating. Background resets close to booking start and end times if you must.
(2) would love to request types of cars to be nearby from those in the fleet as some I'd like to drive are nowhere near me. Or rank those nearby for joy of driving or utility.
(3) would love grubby drivers to be penalised or rated by the next driver somehow - eg smoking in car or tissues in the door handle or unpaid ERP etc. - to curb such behaviours. Annoying to those trying to do the right thing.
Other than those elements, overall very grateful for the service. It means we don't have to buy a car, car sharing is better for the environment, and basically we love having GetGo as one of our go-get options. 😊
