My new favourite home for photography
Glass has become my go-to community for photography. Meaningful conversations are so superior to “likes”, and with Glass that’s what you get - the community is amazing!!
The app is really well thought out and photos look beautiful. It’s nice to be able to see the work of the people I follow (there’s no algorithms deciding what you should see). There are no distractions. It slows me down and I spend longer appreciating the work I see.
I love Glass so much I’ve now decided to use it for my portfolio.
Thank you to the Glass team!!
Glass is Outstanding
I’ve been a member of Glass for a year now and will most definitely be renewing my membership. Although I’ve not been as active in the community as I’d like, my interactions with other members have been so positive and inspiring, I don’t think any other platform comes close!
To have a platform where meaningful conversations take place around photography, without the “likes”, algorithms and other nonsense that’s so present on other platforms is really refreshing! It reminds me a little of how the internet used to be (but of course in a very modern way), where community comes first.
Two tier memberships
The concept of Glass, its ethos and overall approach are fantastic. The app itself, and web equivalent, is silky smooth. I thought I’d found my photographic home but alas. In addition to the standard membership we now have, at £99 per year, a patron tier. This automatically creates a two tier membership and something I’m not prepared to tolerate.
The best photo sharing community for iOS.
Glass is the best photo sharing community and app for iOS, iPad and Mac.
Best place for photography
Has been improving steadily since launch and only getting better
Categories missing, otherwise nice, clean app
Can you please add an INTERIORS category (ie. for homes, buildings, cabins, restaurants, shops, etc) This is a hugely popular genre that appears to have been overlooked. The Architecture category is a little too general to cover all of this... :-)
Underwhelming and overpriced
Excited to try this out but instantly being asked to start a subscription with no guest peeking into the app is not very good for an unheard of app, free trial or not.
£4.50 a month for an unknown, really bare bones photo sharing app with no specific niche is not happening.
Maybe £1.99? But I still would have cancelled, I don’t see any value here sadly.
Love the simplicity
As a new user I love just seeing the images.
Simple and easy to use.
New to Glass and liking what I see. It is easy to use and no restrictions as One other.
It is a pleasure to meet like minded people sharing a purpose and pleasure of photography.
Nice face shame about the…
Looks the part but it soon becomes obvious that a lot of work is required to make it the IG alternative we all so desperately want. The inability to search for users, locations, camera info etc etc is really frustrating. I gave it a good go but gave up after a couple of weeks. Fingers crossed the developers look at all the feedback.
