Get to a healthier and more active life with Google Fit!
It’s hard to know how much or what kind of activity you need to stay healthy. That’s why Google Fit collaborated with the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the American Heart Association (AHA) to bring you Heart Points, an activity goal that can help improve your health.
Activities that get your heart pumping harder have tremendous health benefits for your heart and mind. You’ll earn one Heart Point for each minute of moderate activity, such as picking up the pace when walking your dog, and double points for more intense activities like running. It takes just 30 minutes of brisk walking five days a week to reach the AHA and WHO’s recommended amount of physical activity shown to reduce the risk of heart disease, improve sleep and increase overall mental wellbeing.
Google Fit will also help you:
SEE YOUR WORKOUTS

Google Fit FAQ
Is Google Fit free?
Yes, Google Fit is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Google Fit legit?
⚠️ The Google Fit app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
It used to connect with my Garmin tracked activity which I thought was nifty.
I would appear to be that Google Fit tracks via my mobile only, which is so sad.
I track my running via my Garmin fēnix 6 plus HR chest strap only. No mobile phone on my runs.
Error
This app has been amazing for years. For some reason, it’s no longer calculating my active time properly when I enter in my time walked. I also notice that sometimes it’s subtracting from the time on the very right. Please fix this!!
Disappearing step data
The discrepancies in data between the Apple Health app and Google fit are getting worse. You actively see step data counting downward almost EVERY TIME YOU OPEN THE APP. Having to manually input the deleted step data is beyond aggravating. I assume we’ll have to get a new Google AI app for this.
Useless
Never accurate, data always delayed, and after work out 5hours later will reduce records, ex. On 09/28 walking 3 hours, around 13400 steps with heart rate 46, after 5 hours late became 16 only!
App is completely inaccurate
Tried the app, first day it was tracking my steps somewhat accurate… second day, completely inaccurate. I walked 2.5 miles, yet the app calculated that I walked 0.8 miles… Google please do better because I’ve used off brand apps that calculated everything from push ups to walking accurately. Currently looking for that app as I review this. Deletion on the way!
Mimi
Why doesn’t this app connect to Apple Watch? Without that it doesn’t get all of a persons activity
Get it together, Google
No reason that a company like google can’t make their app work correctly. Can’t import and can’t track on its own. Virtually useless if you have to keep adding your activity in yourself from Health. Resetting and connecting constantly. I raised my blood pressure using this horrible app. Obviously doesn’t get tested or updated. Absolute waste of my energy in Toto. Work on your apps, Google. There’s no reason for it
Inaccurate Step Count
I truly appreciate this app and the hard work that goes into maintaining it. Keeping track of my daily steps is extremely important to me and when the Google Fit app rolls back or does not count my steps accurately it can be a bit frustrating. :(
Not reading accurately
I’ve had this app for about a month now. It worked for a couple weeks right in sync with my regular iPhone health app, but it no longer reads accurately. My iPhone health app reads the right mileage and steps and the google fit app reads 1/2 a mile less and 2-3000 steps less every time. Today I even watched it go up to the right number of steps then it went backwards 3000 steps! It’s becoming very frustrating and I’m ready to delete it from my phone!
Step counter
I’m not sure if it’s because I switched to IPhone or if the feature was removed, but when I had an android, Google Fit would count my steps and also had a feature you could turn on for “fast pace” and it would make a ticking sound to help keep you going at the same pace. Ever since I switched it doesn’t do either anymore. I haven’t found a step/mile counter that I’ve liked since and really miss those features.
