Description

Get to a healthier and more active life with Google Fit!

It’s hard to know how much or what kind of activity you need to stay healthy. That’s why Google Fit collaborated with the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the American Heart Association (AHA) to bring you Heart Points, an activity goal that can help improve your health.

Activities that get your heart pumping harder have tremendous health benefits for your heart and mind. You’ll earn one Heart Point for each minute of moderate activity, such as picking up the pace when walking your dog, and double points for more intense activities like running. It takes just 30 minutes of brisk walking five days a week to reach the AHA and WHO’s recommended amount of physical activity shown to reduce the risk of heart disease, improve sleep and increase overall mental wellbeing.

Google Fit will also help you:

SEE YOUR WORKOUTS
Get insights and see stats such as heart rate, speed, pace, route and more for your runs, walks and bike rides.

MONITOR YOUR GOALS
See your daily progress on your Heart Points and steps. Meeting your goals all the time? Easily adjust your goals to keep challenging yourself to achieve a healthy heart and mind.

MAKE EVERY MOVE COUNT
All physical activity can help you lead a healthier life, and with Google Fit you can track it all in one place. Working with your favourite fitness apps and devices, Google Fit builds a journal of your activity. And to make sure Fit never misses a workout, you can manually add any activity that your other apps didn’t track – from aerobics to Zumba!

CONNECT WITH YOUR FAVOURITE APPS AND DEVICES
Google Fit can show you info from many of your favourite apps and devices that are compatible with Apple Health to give you a holistic view of your health, so you’ll never lose track of your progress. These include Lifesum, Runkeeper, Strava, MyFitnessPal, Headspace and more.

CHECK IN AT ANY TIME, FROM ANYWHERE
See a snapshot of your activity history across Google Fit and your integrated apps in your journal. Or, see the full picture in Browse, where you can find all of your health and wellness data.

Poor app

Andrew D2 on

Very poor app and measuring gym in the morning 90+ heart point then checking again in the evening and it reduced to 8. Lots of better apps out there

Don’t bother!

Suffolkmatireland on

I downloaded this app purely because an app I wished to sync a fitness one to track my day wouldn’t let me select others that I use, so I downloaded this one. It’s totally inaccurate, and almost daily will wipe literally hundreds and hundreds of steps that I have done off! I’ll check it whilst walking the dogs, then about 10 minutes later for comparison and the number has dramatically reduced. I purely have it for this one app I use now and that is under duress through lack of choice

Still works

Kudos to engineers who are maintaining it. They deserve a bonus.

Wanted

It is really good at all your fitness.

It’s ok BUT ….

Gallii on

The app is quite good easy to use BUT it doesn’t have aqua circuits or H2O or aqua jogging only swimming but paragliding is on it. Can’t understand why they missed off so many aquatic spots but put in synchronised swimming. So if your using water as your main form of exercise this isn’t the app to use.

Good but need to be better

Saeedahmed40 on

This offers a nice clear UI and the best way for IOS health data to sync with Google eco-system but it doesn't support the iPad health app

Google Fit App

TwoPost on

I find a lot of times when I do a workout that it seems to take a lot of time to update on the app

To many bugs in app

Kevin1690 on

App cannot count right amount of steps taking. It loses 3,000 step’s every time you sync the app.

Keeps deleting my steps

Sgian-Dhu on

Wipes my achieved steps by up to 2000 at a time. Does render it kind of useless which is a shame as I prefer it to the IOS system when it works properly.

It doesn’t work

ianrp on

I can climb a mountain (slowly, but hundreds of “floors”) and get my heart beating well, and I don’t get any heart points. The algorithm must account for height climbed!
